I'm still hoping to get in on the pre-order for those SDCC Jem dolls, but I'm also now currently on the hunt for a complete Kelly Super Slide playset. Since they were a water toy meant for the bath, most of them people didn't survive. Interestingly enough, the two I've seen come up for sale are actually the black/African American version. If you know anything about Kelly, or Barbie in general, from this era, you know that two things are true: 1.) The black dolls are rarer, and 2.) They're always more expensive. These two actually aren't INSANELY overpriced (Yes, one of them is around $65, but that's not THAT crazy for a Kelly playset from this era that's new in box.) Just a funny little detail I noticed.

You should. It's easy to do for all 3 agencies. I worked for TRW Credit Data (now Experian) before the ability to freeze your credit report - it's been a game changer that more people should take advantage of.

If you have to decide between the two I'd say go for the Kelly playset, that seems to be a passion of yours. In this economy there's half a chance the Jem dolls won't sell out because it's not super popular like blind box things.

And I've been down the stuck living with someone who was financially irresponsible and only one (barely) working car in the household route. We had a family talk about it, did the monthly math, and divided things equally. Should you be able to save for or finance a car then look in to a former rental, ours is the nicest car we've ever owned.

I'm not able to drive because of a variety of health issues, including severe anxiety around even being in a car and blood sugar issues.

I'm torn on the Jem or Kelly thing . . . We also just had to get a new fridge today. @-@ Adding that to the "What ELSE can go wrong?" list.

I can't drive either and like I said I think Kelly dolls mean more to you than Jem.

And when it comes to a daily needs appliance, like a refrigerator, that should always come first in the grand scheme of things. I've been lucky to have a roof over our head but we ain't eating until our next pay check searching for change in the couch to get gas to work flat out dirt poor, and literally without a fridge and some times a stove because the rental didn't come with one or the people helping us get ours out of storage can't make it until this weekend, make it next weekend, in my life.

It's not that you needed a fridge as much as you are blessed to be able to get one. Don't give the other appliances ideas :p

Actually, we NEED the fridge. My grandfather is diabetic, and we have to keep his insulin cold.

I've decided I really can't live without doll plans of some sort to look forward to, so I'm finally getting back into Barbie. I'm gonna do it with Made to Move bodies and Mermaid heads though! But after 2 made to moves and 1 mermaid, I blew all my budget, so the darker skin one gets a mermaid head next month. Gives me more time to choose anyway.

I'm not a massive Barbie fan, but since she's so well established, there's TONS of shit for her, so I will have these two Barbies, and buy them a little new shit each month. There's tons of patterns too, so I can make a lot for them.
