Coincidentally, I was thinking just this past week that unless somebody was around during the "Famous Monsters of Filmland" magazine or the Aurora Monster Scenes model kits era they probably wouldn't recognize Vampirella as being anyone, or anything, other than a hot girl in a revealing swimsuit.

I think that she's reached that "cult character" status. She still has the occasional short series from small publishers.
