I'll try to think of it that way.

We've been making great strides with our sorting and I've been putting the dolls off because for some silly reason I'd like to have all the Barbie stuff in the same place at the same time so all the pieces to things can get back together, what a concept. Once I do get going it'll go quite fast as the stuff on my end is fairly organized.

I guess RPGs ARE just playing a preset story with a virtual doll. Sometimes you even get to customize that doll!

Yup! People pay a lot of money to buy or make outfits for game characters in some games. And in some games people play with friends and make up their own stories.

I tried linking one of my adopted click pets here, but the board wouldn't let me. :/

It's funny how much overlap there actually is between dolls and video games. Which really makes me want to actually work on the Pokemon trainer outfit I was making for Reneeah.

There's always room for more doll outfits. Maybe video games could be the unofficial theme for Dolloween on the board this year?

If they are, I already have a set of costumed dolls.

I suddenly have an idea for the JDF that's been boxed away for so long.

I've been collecting Hasbro Disney Princesses, mainly from the Comfy Princess line that came out after the movie Ralph Breaks the Internet. I've bought them the princess dresses from the Shimmer Princess series by Hasbro, so everything roughly fits. I almost have a complete set of all the princesses I want. I've also drafted a few patterns for them, so I can make them more clothes.

It's kinda fun, collecting second hand dolls instead of new in box dolls. Sure, you may miss some parts, but you can hunt them down. And cleaning up the second hand dolls is a relaxing activity. I used to prefer new in box dolls, but I've had fun this way.

There's something about cleaning up secondhand dolls and bringing them back to life that makes my heart happy. We live in a world where so many dolls just get thrown away when children are bored with them or they get a little funky gunky. It makes me sad thinking how many dolls lie eternally in landfills, never to be played with and loved again.
