Knotts in general is a decent theme park if you want rides and well done ambiance without the cost and everything having to be tied to media.

IPs and media tie-ins are what really turns me off of Disney nowadays. Disney used to be all about creating experiences, regardless of if there was a media tie-in. Nowadays, things are built specifically to shoehorn in an IP. I would have gladly gone to visit pre-2010s Disney. Now, I wouldn't go near it.

Bought this baby dress at a thrift store a while back and finally got around to disassembling it. Can't decide if I want to keep the top and make some short, puffed sleeves for it, or make it a sundress/jumper with straps.

This month, I'm finally back into some dolly crafting! This time, Bella and Jade from Rainbow High are getting pajamas. Their bathrobes are already done, pajamas are cut out. I'm painting designs on them before I sew them. I've had a 3 month gap between this and my last sewing project. My husband had an army set up on my cutting table for a while. It's nice to get back into the swing of things.

Picking the Sailor Moon outfit cataloging back up. I've been too busy and broke to work on any projects the last couple of months, but I'm finally caught back up. I'm hoping can get back into actual doll projects again soon. I do need to get a new mattress (been using the same one for the better part of ten years, I think I've gotteny money's worth out of it), but I'm at least caught up on bills.

Unless the mattress is literally broken or dirty you should be able to use it for a good long time. If it's uncomfortable try a foam pad first. And on that tangent one bed I had was two foam pads, one was as thick as a mattress, on plywood and crates and it worked.

For my projects I am getting in to the fabric stash and cutting a good deal of the century's worth of novelty prints in to large squares then the scraps go to smaller squares and finally tiny triangles. Aside from a small twin size worth of Spider-Man fabric hexagons (I am currently sleeping under a quilt with the same number of patches) the rest will probably get stitched together and then... Seriously let me know if anyone out there would rather make a quilt themselves and save me some labor.

Unfortunately, it's beyond the point of putting it off. The springs are poking through, the sides are broken down, it's literally falling apart. It's essentially just a buffer between me and the bed frame at this point, and only one step above sleeping on the floor.

It definitely sounds like new mattress time. I went thru some bed adventures the last couple of years after my nice mattress got messed up during a move :/ Just be wary of those always going out of business furniture stores with inexpensive mattress and boxspring sets.

*I was at Walmart today and got a 3" thick twin memory foam topper for under $100.

I have a field mouse problem I have to deal with before I commit to a new mattress. There's a mouse loose in the house now (which you wouldn't think would EVER be a problem with THREE CATS) and I don't want it to potentially chew a mattress.

My life is just a series of small train wrecks right now, I'm telling you.

A plastic mattress cover and peanut butter as the bait for your choice of trap.

One place we had two half sight hounds, two terriers, and at least two cats that knew how to cat (one was raised by dogs), and still had a critter under the fridge. You got to think of the ones you don't see. Or let the cats see you trying and failing to hunt the mouse so they'll make it a present.
