There was a tornado watch in effect here in east central Florida today, but nothing unusual transpired and the watch has since been lifted. Other than that... present, sir!

I'm happy to be out of Utah for a while. Colder than cold there these days!

We've had some heavy rain and wind the last couple of days (Smoky Mountains area of East Tennessee), but we're mostly okay. The cats are a little uneasy, but that's a given.

We had about 3 feet of snow dumped on us Monday and finally got both cars dug out yesterday. We had another 6 or so inches last night. My son brought his plow truck from work and plowed out the driveway for us today. The city has left a 4 foot berm in front of our post boxes so we've had no mail all week. We haven't had this much snow in years, but most of the old timers like my DH just say it's like the old days. I've been digging trenches in the backyard for the dog to go out and do her business. Other than that, we are pretty much okay here.
The dark thing in the middle is the side mirror of my car.

This is my metal yardstick on the deck which is about 6" off the ground. It's showing about 32" of snow on the deck.

Just because you CAN doesn't mean you SHOULD.

I'm pretty sure that's more snow than I've ever seen in my entire life combined.

That looks like a blizzard we weathered in South Bend Indiana in 1978.
