Possible Short Absence

Postby Kirahfaye » Tue Oct 18, 2022 5:47 pm

We closed on our house today. Tomorrow the movers come pack everything up. Thursday they pack all of our stuff on their truck and we will head out. Friday we close on our new house and movers drop all our stuff off. Then we spend the next 3 weeks unpacking.

So there will probably be a couple of days or so where I won't be online. Wish us luck!!

Moved far too many times in my life so I feel for you. However, when it's all done, it feels wonderful! Hope the new place suits you well!

Praying for you.
I am Tam. Tam I am. I like green eggs, but I don't like ham. :D

I tried linking one of my adopted click pets here, but the board wouldn't let me. :/

I love you, too, Misty. LOL

Honestly, if Jeff's new job didn't pay for almost the entire moving expense I don't know what we would have done. Neither of us are spring chickens anymore and just doing what packing we did (important to us things that we didn't trust to movers) took longer than it should... I packed half of my resin BJDs in my trunk and packed each other doll in their shipper boxes, wrapped those in bubble wrap and then put them in 2 other boxes. I haven't opened those boxes yet, so crossing fingers they are all fine.

Here's something we didn't know until we went to Xfinity this morning. We have Verison currently and had sucky mobile data since Friday afternoon - to the point we lost GPS at one point this morning. The helpful reps at Xfinity told us we had to reset our phones to the local tower. What a difference that made!

Then we came home with our updated service and have TV and internet. Yay!

Oh, and even my daughter said she doesn't plan on moving from this house! LOL
