On Saturday my lifemate of 31 years had to go to the ER for sudden chest pains. Because of concerns, she was admitted to the hospital for an angiogram on Monday. They found FOUR blocked arteries that couldn't be fixed with stents, so this morning she had heart bypass surgery.
She's out, in the CVCU and doing fine, but it's going to be a long road to recovery for her. Plus, she's going to be out of work for at least two weeks, probably more like a month, so money's going to be extremely tight. Not hopeless, we'll just have to do some creative juggling.
Anyway, that's why I've been incommunicado for the past week or so. The good news is she made it through the surgery like a trouper. Now we focus on her healing.
Thoughts, prayers, good wishes, positive energy, chocolate chip cookies...all welcome.
Peace.
