Iwa_Hoshi, thank you for reminding me of the Lila dolls! I saw them on DDE when I was deciding on my first resin doll, but passed over them at the time because I was looking for a strung BJD. I had completely forgotten about them! I kind of wish they were offered blank for a lower price, but the 'Lazy Butterfly' design is right down my alley... These reminded me of another thing, though, does anyone know if Pullip dolls can be bought blank? I think I like the Taeyang body more than the 27cm slim Obitsu male.
DollyKim, hybrids are becoming more and more appealing to me. I saw a Makie head on a 27cm Bobobie body while I was searching for size 6/7 heads, and I loved it! Too bad the Makies site is down, a Makie boy would be perfect if I got him off of the short little bodies they come with. In the meantime, I'm still stalking the Jake heads on the Hujoo site... still not in stock.
Embyquinn, I did think your comic was somehow an edited photograph until I spotted a little clipping on a boot! I adore 3D modeling, it's such an art. I would love to learn to 3D model backgrounds to use for drawing references. I can't do backgrounds worth a rat without a perfect photo reference, people are so much easier. I can produce some darn good art with a good reference for a person! I'm quite surprised that highly articulated dolls like Obitsu haven't replaced wooden pose mannequins in the art world.
Girls are so much easier to find than boys in the doll world, or at least that's how it's looking for me. I can list off plenty of complete girl dolls I want, but for boys I must be picky or something! XD Yet, as a whole, I kind of prefer boy dolls so that leaves me conflicted. I think I like the Planetdoll Mini Paul and Mini Dandy, but I think their heads might be a tad too small and I'm worried I'm going to end up wishing they were double jointed and being less than satisfied with their posing. Taeyang has nice designs, but the head is too big and I don't particularly like the face sculpt anyways.
I'm also having a hard time finding heads for sale separate from bodies. What I have found that I like has a price tag that makes my wallet crawl deep into my pocket!

Maybe I'll save up and order a Doll Chateau Lance head, he's gorgeous but he's so expensive for a head in my opinion...
