Dollieh temptations and plans

A certain doll company might have caught the video game bug with its new military/police clothing line. I'm a little torn between just getting the cap(and doing my Satsui no Hadou black and red version) because of a certain winged skull emblem and getting one of the uniforms for either Formal Killer Bee(girl version too small maybe boy version) or very stylish possessed Fortune Teller (who is one size bigger than Helen)


I can't stop seeing alternative interpretation outfits in Sastui no Hadou(aka my crew's choice of evil color) colors for Rose, Cammy and Chun Li(I love it that this outfit is on their Luna doll) now.



That was fast... for about one week I had a bunch of King of Fighters characters (Art of Fighting line) latching onto my dolls. The moment the military line hits, the villain side of Street Fighter came and reclaim two Iples...

So I saw that for their winter event Luts was bringing back their Zebra Tiny Centaur.

I was somewhat tempted because I like their Tinies though the Zebra isn't my first choice.

But then I saw Aileen Doll changed their banner to this.



Yup. I am definitely spending my monies on the Capricorn Lapis Dragon. XD

They do good quality work and are worth the price, I like my Elebenty. Otherwise I'm happy with my home made Doctors. Already have a Dragon Roger for my McGann.

Thanks for the quality reassurance! Yeah I'm sure you know the main reason for my hesitation is that I keep comparing Big Chief's output unfavourably to Hot Toy's... However this guy is likely to be the only Mcgann figure of anything like that quality so he's a definite buy when the preorder eventually drops.

That feel when you want to sell your dolls but you don't have the energy to take pictures of them.
After a lot of thinking I've decided to sell off most of my collection that I've grown over the years, and focus on the dolls I keep and also maybe getting myself 1 or 2 new dolls - like, smaller dolls. Or rather any new dolls I buy will be smaller, and I will focus on finishing them.

Ignoring the epic mask project that has been eating all of my non-working hours and storage space of late...

I too am contemplating having a bit of a cull - my 1/6 collection could do with a bit of a trim, especially the fashion dolls and the like. My 1/6 collection has always primarily been about action figures, and somewhat ironically my fussiness about those has kept their numbers down. Unlike the cheapo Monsters and the like... I've already downsized my selection of fashion dolls once, and I'm really left with a relatively *ahem* minimal selection of dolls. But they are taking up valuable shelf space that my action figures would happily move into.

And I've got to admit I'm seriously pondering downsizing my longstanding Doctor Who collection, which has been building up for well over 10 years at this point so is a tad oversized and unwieldy! I'm really contemplating removing my 5" scale guys since they've been sat untouched on their shelf for years, and even when I started collecting them I thought they weren't up to the quality of their competition, but I'm not quite at the point where I'm ready to take the plunge and ebay them yet! However I think I do need to cut down my Who collection, and the figures are the obvious place to start; I'm really not prepared to give up the novels - many of which were already out of print when I acquired them.

On the Doll-additions front...

Now that Christmas shopping is completed and my selfish purchase of a cheapo Taeyang is somewhere in the postal system (seriously still can't believe how cheap he was - £25 including shipping, far less than it would cost to buy one of those MIO kits, and yeah as you guys are probably aware from my purchases over the years I've been itching to get my hands on one of these guys for years but could never quite justify the £100+ pricetag!) I'm sparking off all sorts of ambitious ideas about who to turn him into.

Adored the woefully underwatched BBC adaptation of Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell a few months ago; so possibly a chibified Jonathan Strange - though where I'd find a Georgian suit in 1/6 scale I don't know... And decisions decisions book!Strange or Carvel!Strange? Or possibly an adorable version of Methos, given that Peter Wingfield's not-quite-tan but definitely not pale complexion may be a match for this particular Taeyang's colour underneath the dark face-up, maybe he could even be Death with the woad. (Though frustratingly I suspect people would think he was a poor rendition of Mel Gibson from that amusingly bad film.) However I'm not convinced the highly stylised head would make a good doll base for either character. Hrmm we shall see who he turns into once he arrives and is summarily wiped of his factory paint!

Aileen Dolls is evil. They are doing a limited snow edition of Seed on Shy's body with makeup and everything but only on the Dolk Japan website. XD

I convinced my husband to buy a 2014 Juri/Soony MNF head for my Christmas present. I plan on making her into the cute elf icon I use on several forum, including here.

My aunt on my mom's side called me last week... She wants to buy me another Ai Doll for my birthday in two months. My mom is calling it now: "We're not gonna have enough room for all those tiny houses."


On the larger doll front.... I REALLY want a Hujoo Matthew. I forgot how much I liked the Hujoo boys until Emory got them back in stock. I'm not gonna immediately jump on it since I know it'll be more then the 110 price tag... But man. It is in the plans.

...And I want one of those plushie Baymax's they got at K-Mart.

I got $50 to spend so I think I'm gonna buy myself a MIO kit. Not sure what I'm gonna make though.
