1/6 Aurea Arleigh

Postby Aurea Arleigh » Wed Jun 24, 2015 6:00 pm

Most of you may know about how I almost had to sell my 40cm Aurea recently and bought a 1/6 to give her a new platform. Well I ended up not having to sell her 40cm body so far. I did send off her 1/6 head and open hands off to be fancied up a bit. And without further chatter here is 1/6 Aurea Arleigh.......

I may need to work on the eyes a bit, my roommate said she looks a knife short of stabbing stuff :? . I however didn't get that vibe

apologies, but i'd have to agree with your roommate there; she does have eyes that rather strongly convey mental instability, and, moreover, a decidedly quite murderous overall intent. very sorry, don't mean to rain on your parade or anything, but that is simply just the aura she quite effectively projects, at least to me.

in any case, you say you almost had to sell your larger version of her off? that would have been most tragic,
glad for you that you did not have to part with what i might assume is one of your most cherished possessions...

Must've been a passing moonphase lol. I tried swapping the colors but still seems to be similar.

Thanks for the pic I may tinker around with that a little more, those 6mm eyes are such a hassle to fiddle with lol. Sadly her darned dress strap stained part of her upper body already, wasn't too bad but kinda sucked. :(

Whenever I get new clothes, especially for Obitsus, I always set the dye with a good washing. I usually run the bathroom sink half-full of warm water, add a little washing powders, and pour about 1/2 cup (more it the item is black, red, purple, blue, or a dark color, less if its really light) of white vinegar in there. Swish, rub, scrunch (aka wash) the clothes all up and watch the loose dyes leech out. I usually do the first wash for about 5 minutes, then drain the water and rinse in warm water. If there was a bunch of dye in the water, I'll usually do a second wash and rinse. Then let dry.

I also do all my fabric swatches and yards like this before I make anything with it (to keep finished clothes from shrinking). Obitsu will stain before anything, but I've had many girls come to me already stained from the clothes they were in stock (Triad's Otaku bikinis come to mind).

She's so pretty, and I love her outfit.
