Thank you so much, DollLover-san!
It means so much to me that you like them so much!

I've always loved Disney Princess movies and have been meaning to make this collection for 25 years or more but I never had the chance to find such nice doll bases to start with that would satisfy how I want them to look. Thank goodness Disney store created nearly perfect likeness molds of their characters as dolls these past few years. But they were still lacking in faceup detail and clothing design. Plus the guy bodies are still kind of atrocious and way too short, so I'm glad the Mattel Fashionista bodies work out great for them instead! They look so much more princely now! And taller!!
As for the sidekicks I just couldn't leave them out as some of them are such endearing characters and vital to the films. Some were more challenging to make than others, particularly the horses since most Barbie sized horses are too short for 1/6 scale dolls. Luckily the MSD sized horses are more in scale for the 11 inch dolls and were the draft/Clydesdale types that needed to be heftier looking anyway, so it all worked out in the end. But now I have a "stable" full of doll horses under my piano, along with a bear and reindeer.
I agree with you that I think I'm a bit insane when it comes to "collections" of things, especially dolls for some reason I just have to have every character, even the ones I'm not that fond of! LOL but I guess it does get the creative juices flowing at least
I do have one more little thing I wanted to change on the Cinderella doll – to change her dress to a silvery white. I've been studying her & reading up on the original story and her dress is supposed to be made of silver in the original fairy tale. In fact, even the 1950 Walt Disney version her dress was originally silvery. They've just changed it to blues these later years for better marketing purposes! I think they thought silver would look too much like a wedding dress. I wouldn't mind pale blues since that's how you often portray silver in cartoons, but lately her gown has been dark blue, almost royal! So I'm trying to set all my Cinderella dolls right to have them in silvery gowns.
Other than that one fact think they're finally all done – well apart from their wedding dresses which I'm getting together. I have all but Jasmine and Mulan's. I created original designs for Anna, Elsa, and Merida, and Mulan should probably be some sort of red ancient Chinese ensemble. Jasmine's wedding dress is actually made by Disney store but it's super rare and only came in one singing doll set that is no longer made and sells for around $90 on eBay. So either I'll have to make her dress or wait until they have a reissue of some sort.
Either way I'm glad it's down to just those last two wedding dresses!
Thanks so much again for liking my work--your comment really made my day
:Hugs:
