Obitsu Special Edition 003 Misuzu

Postby K2! » Sat Nov 06, 2010 6:50 am

Obitsu's third Special Edition 50cm girl, Misuzu, is on sale till November 15 for 39800yen. Since Obitsu doesn't ship/sell to addresses outside of Japan, it's time to see if Emory can get them or contact your favorite proxy buyer.

I'd love that dress in 1/6 size.

Using Japan Auction Center (my "buddy" in Japan)
cost 39800yen
PayPal bank transfer fee 300yen
proxy fee (800yen + 8%) 3984yen
bank transfer fee 300yen
local delivery (estimate) 1500yen
International delivery (estimate) 3600yen

Total 47384yen

Convert to USD (81.1823 JPY) $583.67

The killer right now is the exchange rate. When I bought Miyuki two years ago the exchange rate was 98+yen per USD. You could almost just drop the last two digits and have the price. Although if you were really serious about getting one, I'd hit up Emory at the Junky Spot to see if he could get one. Junky Spot is an authorized Obitsu retailer.

Okay, thanks. K2. I wonder why they re-released the same doll? I have never known companies to do that. Usually there is a variation, isn't there?

It is a full set (special limited edition outfit) and does have a different head than the stock 50cm. Don't resin companies do stuff like that?
