New [and first!] 11cm obitsu - Matilda!

Postby werepuppy » Tue Jun 10, 2014 9:05 am

So I've been planning and saving to do this custom for a while, and I managed to come up with the money... Mid-May, I believe it was. I should have had this parcel earlier, but I was hit by customs - the bane of all collectors - and she only arrived an hour ago. This is my first time using inset eyes, so any tips would be much appreciated, but I am fond of my little Matilda!

I did want just a plain blue dress for her, but I found the idea of dressing her little Alice in Wonderland too tempting, hence the Alice style dress. We did think about putting the bow on, but she found it far too loud for her tastes, and kindly requested that I put it away safely. Then asked me if I had anything for her to read - think I'll need to look into getting little miniature books.

Here she is with Anne and Beatrice, my two Ai dolls, who happen to be - at present - my only ball-jointed dolls. Anne and Beatrice are very chummy with each other; so I don't know if Matilda will be able to get into that friendship. I hope she does, I wouldn't like for her to be lonely.

So... yeah, there's my first little tiny custom. I'm very fond of her.

She is very cute! If you are having trouble getting the eyes all the way into the pockets, heat the head with a hair dryer. And her dress is adorable! :D

@zirconmermaid Ah, thank you for the advice! Unfortunately, I do not own a hair-dryer. Odd, I know. And thank for for saying she's cute, and her dress is adorable. While she doesn't really care about such things - much prefers a good book - but it makes me happy to hear others find her cute :)

What a cute little dress. I'm so tempted to get another one of these wee little dolls, they're all so adorable.

@Trethowan Aw, thank you! It is kind of cute, makes her seem all adorable. The tiny ones in general are really all adorable, I can understand your temptation to get another. Invasion of the tinies? ... Something tells me that would be a good movie.

... Or awesome band name.
