Treth - It was because they didn't like my mother since day one, all because she's 100% Puerto Rican and hates the fact that my dad married her, they also had their daughters calling me Karen and Stephenie because they didn't like my real name until my mom told me to call them..."Auntie Shithead and Auntie Fucker." They both stopped but most of my dad's side seems to just not get along with my mom just because of her race. My mom's a badass though and refused to let it get to her, she made sure I was well aware of all of these things that happened over the years. My aunt L, who had previously when I was tiny called "Auntie Shithead" for not calling me by my real name actually tried to claim there was a rule of voting on names...Then gave me grief when I told her no one would have a choice over what my kid's name would be except for me. If I wanna name my kid a weird name I can. My mom's side of the family is the total opposite, we're all close, tell each other everything, and usually things go pretty good...Except for my cousin in law's weirdness...My grandma is a bitch, as sad as that is to say, she had the nerve to say while she was holding me as a baby: "No one in our family has blue eyes, she must be someone's bastard chil." in front of my father...Needless to say my mom never took her seriously for all her bitching.

@Alopecia No Hime If that side of the family are going to act that way why do they even get the privilege of seeing the baby? It's not a right and they don't deserve it, it's an honor.

Sheez. People can be such dicks. My best friend is Puerto Rican. Her dogs don't understand English commands except for CHEESE!!! It's so funny. It's so awful to not even grant someone the basic human decency of using their name. I'm glad your Mom was able to rise above that stuff.

Thank you everyone. The surgery went well. They didn't get all of it because they didn't want to risk doing damage to the brain, but most of it was removed. They said it was a bloody tumor, and they said that at least the lumps in her lungs were cancerous. However, they said that those would be very receptive to treatment. We have to wait for the results of the tumor to see if it's cancerous, but if it's not, she can work on recovering.

DollyKim - My mom's side of the family HATES my dad's side they haven't spoken to one another since my ninth birthday party, they don't even know what the newest little one looks like. It's my cousin in law on my mom's side that's weird...Same chick who showed everyone the teen body manual she bought the eighteen year old (me) and showed off the sex section. So no...They'll never see him and likely never know what Baby Alex looks like.

Treth - They're messed up, even before my folks got married apparently they didn't like my mom's family just because of their race and they just got worse as the years went on. The name issue only lasted about a week because they thought I was named after a line of Trucks...I only speak to my dad now and my aunt L and Uncle P. The rest of them I haven't seen in three years and I have no intention of letting anything go anytime soon. Next time the name incident gets brought up I'm reminding them of the real story.

lost more seedlings in a greenhouse freeze. geeze, thinking about making tiny greenhouse covers for each of the small pots to keep them extra warm? use some plastic bottles or something...

My anxiety is getting the better of me today. I have SO much to get done before Sunday. I have to finish making two hats, start two more, do all my class paperwork, finish painting one flat, start and finish another.... I have to finish sewing the costumes for one opera. It is over around 7pm on Sunday then I have to drive five hours and get ready to start a new job the next day.
Oh, I also have to make three costume designs tonight for tomorrow and have a final presentation on Thursday for them... then I have a committee meeting later on Thursday...

Server problems for my blog, I like them because there's no file limit to their free version and you can just upload the pictures in the middle of the text and there's no file limit. If it continues to @#$! I might have to move it to Little Walken's Book Face. Only I can't even log in to post or comment about checking the Book Face for updates.

He's a 1/6 scale old man, he likes calling it Book Face.
