Okami-san! :hugs: I'm so glad you're doing okay now! :big hugs again: That must've been horrific and I can sympathize!

Thank God you're safe!
Take it easy for the next few days----it's sure to be nerve-rattling for quite a while, I'm sure!

Take care and God bless!

OkamiKodomo - hugs. That sounds like it was a horrible, frightening experience. And well done for being able to get enough control over the car (and how you were feeling) to get yourself to sort-of safety.

I'm so glad you're ok OkamiKodomo and so many nice people helped you. I've been in two car accidents myself (neither was I at fault) and the emergency personnel were very nice and calming both times.
I'm mostly on Tumblr now.

Okami, that wreck sounds terrifying. I'm so glad you weren't hurt.

My sux is a little spooky. I'd been having what I thought was heartburn off and on over the past ten days, but my husband said it was odd that my back hurt so much during these sudden pain attacks. Weeelll... now we think it's a gallbladder attack. Today I was playing with Christopher and I leaned forward and BAM! My stomach and back hurt so bad I thought I was going to pass out. I put him in his crib and called my Dad cause I was thinking an ER visit was forthcoming. He suggested gallbladder so I checked WebMD and it matched all my symptoms. I've got an apt tomorrow to see my MD but if I can't hold out it looks like I'll have an ER visit and surgery in my near future.

Oh, Trethowan, I would go to the ER sweetheart! It's not worth it to stick it out. They'll most likely admit you right away. It's better to go and start the road back to recovery. I wish you the very best of luck!

And I'm so sorry knittnkitten!! What's going to happen to the dog? It's one of those horrible cases where they put the dog down isn't it? ;_;

no, she isn't going to get put down luckily, but she's not coming back to the facility, and mom doesn't want a fulltime dog. (she was hoping I could just keep her when I wasn't working, and bring her to work with me, that way the dog was always supervised)

Trethowan get yourself some ox bile. After your gall bladder goes bye-bye you will need it any time you eat something with lots of grease or fat. (Or you will need to stay very close to a bathroom!)
While you are waiting for it to come out, eat small meals that are very low fat. That will help prevent or minimize attacks.

OkamiKodomo so glad you are okay! How scary!

I've been doing the tiny meal thing. Meh. I like grease and fat. waaahhhh

So, my exam was a waste of time. The doc barely asked any questions and didn't even order lab work aside from an ultrasound. The ultrasound didn't show any gallstones so the doctor says we'll have to look at other things. Just like that. No labwork, no nothing, no follow up visits. She was basically like, "If it happens again come back." I got pissed and asked how we were supposed to do that without even so much as bloodwork to check things. Suffice to say I am not impressed with this doctor. She wasn't thorough at all. And she kept telling me how pleasant I was, and how healthy I seemed, and how I didn't look 38 and she just assumed I was in my early 20s and all that. Thanks for making assumptions, medical professional. What ElSE in my chart did you not bother to read? And anyway, what does that have to do with anything? Just because I'm a wrinkle-free, cheery person doesn't mean I am not to be taken seriously. Am I supposed to whine and bellyache like a little bitch just to get something done right? I think not. So anyway. After that little phone call I drove back to the office and pretty much demanded labwork so they're going to run blood tests and a urinalysis. I'm glad my brother in law is a doctor, he basically had to tell me what to do and ask for since these jokers weren't doing their effin' jobs. Gah.
