Hello from Okinawa

Postby Ruva » Sun Feb 02, 2014 11:18 pm

Hi,

This is my first forum post ever, as in EVAH, so please excuse me if I ramble or do something equally as goofy and embarrassing. I'm kind of sorta new to doll collecting...I had barbies as a kid and I still have and buy stuffed animal, does that count? Haha! Although I have known about and researched BJDs for a few years, I just couldn't find that one doll I loved enough to spend so much on. That is until I ran into a pic of DollShe's 28M body. It's absolutely BEAUTIFUL!! Lucky for me they were having a promotion sales event for their new guy Grant Phillipe, 30% off woohoo! :D I have now officially taken my first step into the doll collecting world. He's going to take a while to get here though, so I've been playing around on the Makie Doll website...I might just order one.

Just a quick little bit about me. I'm 22 years old,a lady (I like Lady better then Woman, but then again I'm a weirdo ;p), married to a North Carolina Weirdo (not so much the gentleman to my lady, but he's a great stay-at-home doggy dad), we have three four legged children (the canine variety), I was born in California, and am currently living in Okinawa, Japan. Oh, the winds of life sure do take you to interesting places.

Well that's it. I'm excited to be a part of this community!

Thank you! :) Is that a Makie as your avatar? I love their eyes. Hehe...I ordered one as soon as I finished writing this post.
