I wish my felt sewing skills were better, I'd love to make a felt iPad case that looks like the screen with apps.

One of these years I'd like to have a costume that I feel comfortable with. Now I'm at the point where I don't even know who or what I'd dress up as, outside of a crazy cat lady with stuffed cats all over me, or cover myself with dolls. Then I'd wish I had somewhere to go wearing it.

Do we have a doll props sticky? I looked, didn't see one, but I miss these things all the time.

Anyway, I found the coolest props tonight and did a little splurge shopping! I snagged an American girl pots n' pans set, kitchen utensils set, and then found two cell phones on Ebay that were just perfect for 1:3 scale hands.

After that I surfed Facebook and ran across the Iplehouse Special Force Rebecca, who is epic and gorgeous in every way, and she had this really awesome shotgun. I love military props. Of course I want a 1:3 scale shotgun! Jillian can never have too many weapons for her ever-growing arsenal of badassery. hehe... so I searched. Dragon hasn't come out with anything new since 2010. What's up with that, anyway? Iplehouse isn't selling the shotgun separately. Aileen Dolls has guns and knives but they're ALL out of stock. And no shotguns. I didn't see much of anything until I came across a post on DoA.

Did you know that there are 14" novelty BBQ lighters that come in a variety of long gun shapes? Yeessss... One can get shotguns in both wood and real tree, both pump and double-barrel, one can get an M-16, bolt action rifle, lever action rifle, and even an AK-47. I was in 7th heaven. They're all so cute! And NOT too small for larger SD dolliehs, like so many props tend to be. Amazon and Ebay both have them in stock. I did a little pricing and found the cheapest on Amazon so a purchase I did make!

I was going to add these resources to a props sticky somewhere but didn't see it. Apparently lots of folks on DoA have WTB threads for the Iplehouse shotgun. It would be nice if they knew about the lighter shotguns. They're not quite as perfectly detailed as the Iplehouse, but geez... for $12 bucks who cares?

In other udderly random news, I bought house things. I was in full housewife mode, and bought new bathroom towels, bath soaps that smelled like almonds, and other random sundries. Getting the guest bathroom set up for use is fun. Today was one of those shopping days where I prowled the store like a huntress. If I'd had a spear, the shoe department might have been in peril. haha

Trethowan that sounds EPIC. XD If I was the gun sort I would get one of those for my crew...But I don't think my dolls need weapons in case of a riot. I think we need a props sticky, so we all can see the goods and all of us can know where we got 'em from.

My random: I feel weird that being eighteen in a few days I still feel like a kid..It feels weird but a good weird.

Breaking one vow I made when I was a kid with a friend.

I AIN'T MOVIN' IN WITH HER. I'm staying home, with my dolls, and my dog and my awesome mom who is an awesome person.

I'm almost 40 and still live at home. It's like a room mate situation where I'm paying my share of bills but if I have to live with other people might as well be with people I can trust.

Some of the toddler pretend kitchen toys at Toys R Us are right for 1/3 scale dolls. They don't have an exact "scale" for the stuff just too big to swallow and too small to be heavy. Outside of art/craft supplies and fake Mac computers so they can be like me I generally don't get props bigger than 1/6 because of space. Somewhere there must be people in the gun and hunting community who make detailed miniature weapons. I don't see why they wouldn't want to.

gander mountain and a lot of gas stations have lighters that look like fishing rods and guns. the hunting store also had gift card holders that looked like hunting caps, shopping bags and backpacks.

WOOT for the gun-lighters! Just got John Murdock the M14, the M16 and the AK47. He now officially has more guns than his creator. Thanks for letting me know those existed!

Just don't give the lighter-guns to any dolls with trigger fingers! LOL!
