Neither sherlock/glitterbird nor myself exist within the realms of our dolls' joint stories, except as maybe as the epitome of the various servants they all have.

(If I were so presumptuous as to call myself "God" or something similar, Jack would be down my throat - "I know God, madame, we play bridge, and you are no god!" which would be far more epic if he weren't just a head and had a hand to point...)

I don't exist in my dolliehs multiverse per say but a couple of them do interact when I'm changing clothes/unboxings/swaps - at which point the reactions are either:

"Argh! Giant Flesh Monster!!!" - my Freya mostly

or blithe acceptance that I'm just a very tall servant/slave who gives them things/does their hair/make-up for them - Drax

the others don't know about me at all really though I'm semi convinced that Aiko does, she just hasn't uttered a peep yet!

Edit: Yeah like a lot of people before me, for the most part I don't exist - except for the occasional humorous interlude. I'm guessing Drax is the exception due to the "Demon" blood... And as for the cats - well cats always see things that others don't

Shinku when they are "aware" that they are dolls. Otherwise, they pay me no mind, since I am not in their stories.

Out of all my dolls and non dolls [No BJDs yet] I don't think they call me anything. It's sad that I don't xist to them other than the 'Caretaker-who-puts-us-on-display-and rarely-plays-with-us' bit. It would be nice. Oh, wait... Wakko hmmm, well sometimes 'mummy' or when he really misses me, "HELLLLOOOOOO NURSE!" But most of the time, I'm the non existant weird crazy lady.

Hah, from a humour standpoint? I'm "that b*itch who keeps saying she'll finish me but conveniently doesn't have the energy" (the dolls aren't very tolerant of medical issues when they're naked and without hair or a face, especially if they know their gorgeous expensive custom outfit is literally in the box next to them).

On the serious end? I'd feel uncomfortable being "mom" to my dolls, mostly because they're all either custom anime character dolls or ones that have been put out by a major company. I feel like I should address Roy Mustang as "sir" if anything, and as for Sebastian...I just let him stay near Ciel and don't even try to figure out what a demon butler would be calling me, because it sure as heck isn't going to be something nice.

For people with OC dolls? I completely understand the attachment though. It's more of a case of my interest lying in a different area, and all of my OCs are so outlandish (in a good way of course 8-) ) that there is no way on God's green earth that I could customize a 1/6 doll to even REMOTELY RESEMBLE them.

:D I'm in the same boat as Melted Caramel. Most of my dolls are character dolls. To me, they inhabit 2 separate "universes". In the first, they are nothing more than the physical representations of the character, who have all been brought to this new universe together for some reason and are now forced to live in close proximity (This one's for my photo-story crossovers). They aren't "dolls" in this universe. They are their character. I don't technically exist to them.

The other universe, which is kinda just for omake shots, is where the characters are completely aware they are dolls, and usually just call me "Hey! You!" Though, this stems more from the fact that the majority of them are angry teenaged boys than anything. I haven't actually thought about what some of the girls or the more respectful boys would call me. But like I said, this isn't the main universe, so I don't spend a ton of time coming up with situations in this universe.

My big BJD is Kat and Kat is me. She's a splinter of my personality, my muse. She's not really separate from me, but she's distinct. She has her own "voice" if that makes any sense and doesn't sound too creepy, and even though she's a part of me, she still is her own separate character. Bleh, I feel like that makes no sense to anyone, but that's the best way to describe her. :D

Hm, it really depends on who it is. My lot are kind of... aware of being dolls, so they know newcomers can come and go, but they also know their stories are their stories. It makes sense to them. I exist in their world for this reason, as do the rest of my family, but I'm generally the only one who interacts with them. For the dolls, it's a whole host of different names to be known by.

Most of the time, I'm just known by [my initial] but that's generally by the MH/EAH/Disney teens lot, and in among them, different ones have different nicknames for me. Wednesday has labelled me as Tormentor which I don't understand. Morpheus calls me Lady and Ayem is ... generally very polite when talking to me. Any young ones call me Miss [initial], because I'm sort of an authority figure in the room. (Second in command being the old bear I've had since I was born. Simply called 'The Bear' by the doll lot)

Queen Elinor calls me 'our honoured host' because she is all about the manners, and Maleficent, Evil Queen, and Queen of Hearts generally... don't refer to me as anything. Mally's interestingly the nicest out of that lot, so at least I don't feel like she's always plotting against me.

Glinda calls me Dear Child even though I point out I'm not a child anymore, and the Green Lady (she doesn't like her name being used except in direct conversation with her. Something about the power of the name) doesn't really have a term of endearment for me, though she is fond of me in her way, I can tell that much. The BeGoth lot treat me as a friend.

To the Doctors though, I'm just one of their companions and a dear friend, and it's their job to look out for me.

And I'd better not get started on the action figures or plush - though I'll admit 'oy you' is a favourite among the figures.

ShadowKat, do you mind me asking what character dolls you own? Hah, I feel rather alone in that aspect of the hobby, I'm rather glad to hear you're in the same boat here. I can be silly with my dolls (or torment my mother who is skeeved out by naked Obitsus!) but...my dolls are just kind of...they're characters and under NO CIRCUMSTANCES could I picture someone like Roy Mustang calling me "Mom", or even more horrifying, Sebastian Michaelis doing it. To me, like you said, they're physical representations of that particular character. I tend to collect and/or customize dolls where the situation would be really awkward if I were a "dollieh mother", which might be where part of my unease comes from.

In omake shots though? Anything goes.
