I got a totally unexpected call on my cell phone as I drove into work this morning. As NO ONE calls me that early, I thought it was an emergency and answered it (yes, I know, I shouldn't while driving but I was stopped at a light at the time). It ended up being one of my 'girls' asking what I was doing after school. Apparently she has a gift for me to pick up on my way home. She didn't want me to not have anything to open Christmas morning up at my bro's (that happened a couple years ago). ^_____^

It was also cool this morning in homeroom when the students are running around being 'Santa'. The teacher I share homeroom with, it is her first time working in a K-12 school, only done college before. She didn't realize that parents and students give gifts to the teachers. She was pleasantly surprised and shocked, said she didn't realize this was one of the perks of K-12.

So far I have some handmade soap, homemade candies/fudge, box of chocolates, a nice candle, some funky christmas socks, hand soap, and from the biology teacher with the farm - ham. That's right... she's spreading the joy of pork this year! ^____^

I just wanted to pop in and wish everyone a Merry Christmas!

Ours is smaller than usual and our daughter is out of town for the first time, but my husband and I are planning a drive into the mountains or something (maybe just a trip to the cinema to watch Saving Mr. Banks). Hope everyone has a lovely day!

My late, late dolly delivery Is marked 'Out for Delivery' finally! She has been sprung from the Washington state sorting facility. I have to work today, but the DH is home on vacation and he can accept her if her box doesn't fit in the post boxes on the corner. They do home deliver the ones that are too big to fit. I'll have tomorrow off to play with her. Yays!

This starts out sounding like a suck, but it has a happy ending, at least for us. The DH's company finally hired an assistant manager to 'help' him and to be trained to eventually move into the DH's spot when the DH was ready to retire in a few years. Well, the bosses put my DH on vacation over the holidays supposedly to give the new guy a chance to show what he could do. I say supposedly because it was really a test to push the DH out of his job unbeknownst to us. So on New Year's Eve day, the DH has to fly up to the big town only to be told he was going to be demoted and new guy taking his job a bit earlier than we planned. Major suckage and thanks for spoiling the new year for us.

In a turn of fate, it seems while the bosses thought new guy was a champ and ready to take over, new guy apparently hated the job and got a new one. He started it on Monday without mentioning it to the bosses. In fact, he told them he was taking the day off to take one of his kids to the doctor. So when they arrived from the big town on Tuesday to make this big change-over and give new guy the top spot...they find instead he's working elsewhere and he's been lying to them all along. :D

They paid to relocate this guy & his family from OK, gave him twice the usual salary, loaned him money for housing deposits twice and now...well, I doubt they can recoup any of that. I'm probably evil to be laughing so much.

So, DH is still the store manager but they have lost his trust and he will keep on looking for a better job, altho not quite so actively as he has been. Meantime, decent income continues and sorry bosses apologized much and went back to the big town with egg on their faces.

Just finished to place an huge part of my manga collection and of my dolls crew in my new library! I still have a lot of comics, all my Monster High (really just 3) and some fodder dolls for customization in my parent house, 300 km away from my and my boyfriend house, but that's it's an huge improvement. I missed my little Obitsus!
In the meantime, I'm searching to not think about how much money I've spent on manga in my past years ^_^' A lot of the library space is taken by all my boyfriend issues of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, but now that I have them in only one place and not scattered in the entire house I realized that my mangas are really a lot...
Another and more valid reason to rejoice: I'm confirmed in my job for another year!

Well after months of discussion, my fiance and I decided we are getting married next month. The month after that he is leaving for basic training, and HOPEFULLY I wont have to live with my mom much longer =___=

I found a Bob Mackie Illusion Masquerade Barbie for $20 at a thrift store! Stardust, my Soom Uyou, is getting a new outfit!

This is such a STUPID thing to rejoice about, but with all the shit that's been happening to me lately, I feel like I should celebrate something going right. When I transferred my car registration to Rhode Island, I had to get a state inspection done. Turns out, window tint is illegal in the state, and so I had to get it removed. It cost me $150 that I really didn't have, and they totally trashed my rear defroster lines, but it was done. I couldn't afford it until now, and so it went past the 30 day limit, so I had to pay for another inspection, and I had received a notice saying if it wasn't done, my license would be suspended... sounds like a suck so far (and it was, really) but I called up the DMV, paranoid that I hadn't gotten it done in time after all, and after twenty minutes playing round robin with their automated system, finally got a person on the line to check the status of things. They had to manually enter my inspection number, because it would have taken 24 hours to clear, and my license would have been suspended at midnight tonight. So YAY! Bullet dodged.
