...um yeah I think my vinyl collection is going to expand to contain several versions of the Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust LP.

Just made the "mistake" of directly comparing my 2 copies - a UK "1st pressing" (Well 1 of many potential 1st pressings, no one knows for sure - but it has stamped matrices and the cover details are correct) - Which is the 1st copy I bought, and much loved by myself and the previous owner, and a tad worn out if I'm honest!

...And then the infamous "audiophile" 4E/6E copy - from the same era, this time with hand etched matrices - Much much fuller bass, however the vocals sound a tad "flattened" - but apparently this was due to a choice the sound engineer at the factory made, hence quite a sought after pressing. (And due to not being completely worn out - lots of lovely details in the instruments that I'd previously missed!)

...So yeah I'm now on the hunt for a not worn out 1st UK pressing; which is a rare thing indeed! These LPs were much loved and much played, and still are.

And I'm curious about the mixes on non UK copies - The UK master tapes are different to most of the international ones: the mix on Starman is different, the UK copies have the "loud" morse section, whereas international copies (US inclusive) have a "quiet" mix. There's also apparently a less well-known issue on international copies on the Suffragette City track - the master tapes were apparently damaged after the UK masters were made so the track has a "dropout"

I have thought about the same thing because I have mostly played with with my 1/12 and smaller for the last year.

Yeah I just haven't been enjoying my collection but I love the characters and it would be pretty awesome if I could actually combine my dollhouse hobby with my doll hobby.

I've been considering building a small dollhouse.

It's challenging, fun, and satisfying. As with the dolls pick one that you like. What dolls do you want to make it for?

These are my dollhouses, both 1:12 scale. The little one is my childhood one that I've been revamping and I got the large one from a coworker whose mother was downsizing. They're both WIPs and are currently just sitting in a corner of the bedroom while we rearrange everything.

I think for the dolls themselves I'm going to try my hand at tiny cloth dolls with armatures. I found this pattern that with some slight modifications/facial shaping should fit my needs. https://www.etsy.com/listing/113164955/ ... _home_feat

I went shopping in Asda today and saw this. I thought I might share it with you if you've not seen it already :)

I have some 1/12ish sized littles, so I'll either do that scale or a tiny display one that won't take up alot of room.

I've been thinking about building a house from selfmade bricks. I already bought a hobby kit for kids to do it, lol. I don't have any dolls tiny enough to build for, though. Hope to have a little DHS some day.

I want to build a dollhouse, but it would be more like a single room since it's 1:3 scale. I don't know WHEN I'd ever get around to it, I've got the space but I'm busy getting the nursery ready and the house settled from moving. My computer STILL isn't hooked up. I borrow my hubby's machine.
