Squee! I finally got the chance to hold one of Kiki's little printed fairy dolls and play with it a bit. I saw a vendor selling them at Anime Blast yesterday. They are SO adorable. I can't believe the tiny details in the hands and they're crazy posable. I think the 'tooth' of the print makes them that much more functional. I think I'm going to have to add yet another doll to my wantsies list.

Anyone fancy being in the new Star Wars film?

I'd go but I don't think I'd get through, not being a beautiful model with a bjd-like physique...

Found a spider while moving stuff around in my room today. Felt bad but ended up squishing him. I know I'm only home on the weekends but that doesn't mean the spiders get to take over.

Currently terribly amused by the incredibly transparent efforts of a bitch-in-training to exclude a friend of mine and myself from a big meetup of most of our mutual friends - she purposefully picked a date neither of us could do.

Bitch please, I've dealt with a Woman who managed to exclude half of my family from her mother's will - this is pathetic and hilarious. Besides I have better things to do that weekend, I couldn't give a flying f**k about your attempts at being controlling.

So, it seems my son likes mushroom risotto. Fifteen months old and the little guy's already a bon vivant! Heck, he has a more sophisticted palate than some adults I know.

I can't wait 'til he's old enough to tell my mother-in-law what he eats. Sushi, calamari, roasted lamb.... She's a very picky eater so it'll be fun seeing him make her cringe.

I hope my daughter is as adventurous an eater as my son.

Good to hear he's enjoying the finer things in life, but two things to consider: 1) in 3 years he will stop eating anything that doesn't have the Golden Arches on the wrapper and 2) sushi is considered dangerous to children under the age of 12.

Good lord, yes! Do you KNOW how high the mercury content of tuna is?! O_o You take your life in your hands every time you eat it raw (I'm not sure cooked is any safer, to be honest).

Also I will no longer TOUCH Tilapia unless I know it was farmed in the States, after seeing a news article about what they feed them over in certain other countries. Sewage. Human waste. And they suspend chickens in wire cages over the water, so their droppings can also be used as food. Cheap source of feeding, and there are absolutely NO safety protocols in place to keep this from happening. *massive shudder* No wonder I hated fish as a kid! I think kids must know something most adults don't. lol

My younger sister just broke her third mirror. I guess that means she's in for 21 years bad luck xD

Kirah, I keep a close eye on what he eats so he gets no raw fish or anything that might make him sick. I'm speaking more of a point in the future where he can gross out his grandmother by telling her what he has eaten. The things I've read about sushi are that children shouldn't eat raw fish until around 6 or 7 and after that, you should carefully monitor their intake of large ocean fish like tuna due to mercury. So right now, he only eats small amounts of cooked fish and things like hibachi grilled chicken and vegetables.

If he liked McD's that would help on those days when I just can't figure out what to feed him but he's pretty indifferent to fast food. The one place he likes has grilled chicken and fresh fruit cups but the typical fries and fried chicken(like substance) nuggets do nothing for him.
