Just great. Yesterday we got form letters from SSA that my daughter will continue to get her SSI survivors benefits until the end of the school year (she turns 18 this Saturday). Today we got another form letter from SSA saying that SHE WON'T!!! And there's NO one at SSA to talk to!

Oh, and yes - my car is completely dead.

If we don't get her check next week we are totally screwed because my husband doesn't get paid until the 31st (and since I homeschool her instead of work, that check is important). However, we are quickly running through the money set aside for the yearly property taxes (we own the house outright). Thankfully my Paypal transfer and my husband's business expense reimbursement should be completed by Monday. That's something at least....

-_- well, I wasn't keeping close enough track of my spending (damn having to take 4 taxis in a single week!) and I overdrew my checking account...

I have overdraft protection, but now my savings account is in a sorry state...

Things should start looking up for you in several ways now. With the acting make sure they know you're homeschooled and if you have flexible hours. Keep minding your manners on set and they'll remember who you are. Even out here in California there seemed to be a core group of us the casting directors knew they could rely on.

When you gals get a chance take some pictures of yourselves with different looks and hair styles, glasses, hats, and as different characters. If one show had been picked up I would have had a regular extra part because of one pair of sunglasses.

Hubby and I want to plan a vacation with a friend of mine. She's the best and we both respect her. Art told me that if we do go on a vacation, he is going to insist on getting a wheelchair for me. After all the photo shoots we have been on this year, I have basically proven that I cannot walk for long distances without doing more damage to the sciatic nerve. This winter, I fear, is going to be crippling. I need to ask my doc if he will prescribe another prednisolone pack. For whatever reason, my body responds to that better than prednisone. I also need to let him know that the pain meds aren't strong enough. My son will take me to the next appointment (Art can't get away from the office). My oldest boy is so protective of me. He wants to tell the doc that I am still having issues walking and moving around, and that the physical therapy exercises are actually making me worse. The recovery time after the stretching can take a couple of days. The only one that doesn't do harm is the wall push ups. *sigh* and my left hip goes out of socket now by about 6 inches, which relieves the hip pain. I am a mess.

Like a month or so ago I put it to get the days for izumicon off, I bought my ticket, and apparently since the 1st 2nd and 3rd or November are the busiest days of the year for shopping. (YEAH, SURPRISED ME TOO.)) I wasted fifty dollars I cannot get back on a three day pass to an anime convention I really wanted to go to because I can see no way I am going to make it to AKON this year because I'll be moving into my own place a few months before that. *sighs* I hate walmart with every molecule of my being and it doesn't help that pretty much everyone I talk to about it is like "Call in sick" or "Call them crying that a relative died" NO! I ACTUALLY CAN'T DO THAT BECAUSE I HAVE TO ACT LIKE A [/expletive deleted] ADULT AND ACTUALLY NEED MY [/expletive deleted] JOB SO ONCE AGAIN I HAVE TO PUT ON MY BIG BOY PANTS ONLY TO HAVE THEM RIPPED OFF AND BE BRUTALLY [/expletive deleted] UP THE [/expletive deleted] BY LIFE!

((And yes, I realize the irony of stating "I have to be an adult" and then throwing a temper tantrum.))

((But I will also concede that I am human and therefore have a right to have emotional breakouts every so often about things I care deeply about.))

I know the PT woes. Only yesterday was I able to convince my doctor that working on one part of my back wouldn't work and they have to do the whole thing. They were only doing the lower back which pulls on the rest and had me unable to do anything for days after.

The best I can suggest is lots of muscle rub, anti inflammatories, and heat.
