This is just a mild, I'm-annoyed-with-myself sux. I'm going to be selling some of my 1/6 scale dolls, and I just dropped a head on the floor. Which wouldn't be too bad - it was soft vinyl. Except I rolled over it, and my chair wheels have eaten it. I did extract it, but it's beyond repair.

Ah well, I do have another head that sort-of fits

My kitty got sick this past week. She's doing a lot better, thanks to antibiotics... but the vet bills are killing me.

It seems I'm well acquainted with Murphy this week.... First the check engine light came on and we replaced the old (2002) gas cap and changed the oil and air filter. Cha-ching. Two days later the light came back on, so Saturday (after driving over 100 miles round trip for 3 days), we ended up having more work done on it - and having the power steering belt replaced.... Cha-cha-ching. Today, with a trunk full of groceries, I turned the key and.... dead battery. At least I hope it's just the battery. It's about 4 years old, I think. Add to that the A/C which needed coolant replaced, but has a leak that needs fixed, too. Cha-ching! So, the point is - we have NO money until the 23rd. So, if its the battery or the starter or anything else, the car is going to sit in the driveway for a while.

So I spent like two or three hours writing this story for my creative writing class when I realized it would be way too long, then I wrote this other story but I was told it was way too morbid, and now I've got this other story which my friend tells me would be perfect for expanding on but I'm freaking burnt out.

Put them aside to rest then revisit them when you feel up to it. The stories won't mind. I've had some that needed good vacations before I could go back and give them proper attention.

I had to dial in to a conference call today, from home, on my day off... a THREE HOUR CONFERENCE CALL... and my lovely new boss tried to say he wasn't going to pay me for it. Fortunately, my coworker made him punch me in.

You're lovely new boss would be in violation of employment laws if he tried that. Actually, just SAYING he wasn't going to pay you might get him in hot water. Someone needs to sit him down with an HR specialist......

His thing was "nobody told her she HAD to be on the call" when actually YES, we were told I had to be there. All Senior Supervisors were supposed to be on the call. He has this nice little double standard of "I don't want you EVER working off the clock" but if I stayed clocked in until everything gets done, then I get yelled at for using so many hours, or being over on labor, or "what the hell were you doing all day?" Meanwhile, he gets in at 7:45am every morning and doesn't leave until after 5pm. I get in at 9 and don't leave until 6pm. I am actually expected to do MORE than he does in my day, because I'm still handling all the admin stuff.

they told me at my job that one of the residents would try to run all the events and use me as an assistant, and I shouldn't let her.
BUT SHE'S THE ONLY ONE TO TELL ME WHAT I NEED TO DO FOR MY JOB. like "we like this kind of pizza and these kinds of drinks. we'll play this game like this until this time. these are the people that will come. when these singers come they will stand here, so set everyone facing this way. I haven't even found yet a list of people they have used in the past to contact them if I want them to come back. ug. tomorrow I go back to work, time to hear what all I did wrong.
