Thanks for the advice - I'll bring it up. My main concern with getting a bridge at this stage, is as you say my age - with the best will in the world they do need replacing fairly often! Especially I suspect with supporting teeth as dodgy as these. It is a v.good suggestion though, as yep the two adjacent molars both grew in with spotty to non-existent enamel, I do loathe the horribly familiar taste of slowly eroding teeth in the morning... And your alternative would sort out 3 of the 4 offenders immediately... Most worrying is they're all upper molars, in the region where the flawed link between sinus and dental cavities tends to cause problems
Edit: And I wouldn't recommend getting "purely aesthetic" orthodontics to anyone. Ever. Only get it if there's a medical reason. My Smother insisted, and well I think they've more or less ruined any (already slim) chances I had of cavity free teeth. 1) They pulled 4 perfectly healthy molars, ignoring the 4 candidates that were/are destined for cavities 2) When they removed the train tracks they managed to simultaneously leave behind glue residue that still hasn't come off 6 years later, and pull some enamel off of perfectly healthy teeth 3) They "tilted" all of my teeth to make them appear straighter, meaning that the wear surfaces don't align at all, and increasing the erosion rate of the already dodgy teeth dramatically... 2 sets in particular grind whenever I shut my mouth - I don't clench or grind my teeth in the traditional nervous tick manner, it is purely caused by these areas sticking out far higher than any of the surrounding teeth there is noticeable mechanical damage to these teeth (again the upper molars... Always the upper molars...) due to the tilitng. I can only postpone the inevitable nowadays...
