SO this is Egon's temporary Yarn wig is as finished as it will be for now. This wig cap is made of a sock which lost it's mate. It's decent but I will definitely need to practice before I start on his actual dreads.

Among elebenty other reroots I need to decide who gets glow in the dark white and who gets black hair. So far I'm thinking all one color for each kitty because I have a Jackson who's half black and half white.

I finally have NanoKitty all sealed. Problem is I don't know how I want her to look. I may just start painting and see what happens. I got the white so anything is possible.

My husband wants new SCA Fencing armour for an event on Saturday. We have had the fabric since July-he just finished cutting out the doublet last night.

If it counts: 7 Faceups... 3 complete, 2 v.nearly done (ran out of light), and 2 yet to begin... I'll post photos tomorrow when they're all finished!

The 1st two were really fun, I've fallen back in love with the Sabik sculpt now I've done face-ups for it. I was a little worried when I didn't immediately love the blank heads but nope I love the sculpt, it was a real joy to paint! I've ended up with one that looks rather smug, and the other just plain cheerful - not quite what I'd planned but I'm happy with them.

The 2nd two were on the Saint faceplates, and remain half-complete. It was ...frustrating, it all went great until the fine detailing around his eyes got mussed - I went in with a clear-ish plan (for me anyway) but it just wasn't working. I'll sleep on it - and either continue with them in the morning or wipe them and start over.

The 3rd "Old Style" Saint, was initially worrying but then came together in the end (I think) - I attempted freckles for the 1st time ever; that went ok, I think, and there are a few mistakes with the actual face-up but I'm happy with the overall look. With this Saint I was aiming for a sun-damaged skin/gaunt look, with some sore looking areas (he's a semi-homeless drug addict - I don't want him to look too healthy!)

And the two remaining blank heads? Dollshe Van and Nano Freya! No plan for either of these two so they'll be cases of seeing what happens... But eek! Broke into my last can of sealant today... And the chain of shops that I'd been buying it from collapsed last month, so 1st time internet order for this stuff! Luckily it seems to be more readily available on the internet in the EU than Mr Super Clear.

Hehe, all my plans got scrapped yesterday when my Miro package came in! So it was a merry (re-)stringing session and an unplanned game of musical heads, when my Elfdoll Yuan head decided to snatch the Miro body from underneath the "Bajoran" Luts head, which ended up on the newly vacated Doll in Mind body in turn The fit is actually better this way around, but now the Luts looks very MSD-like, proportion-wise. I don't mind much since she's not currently in any story and thus doesn't need to fit in with the others, and the measurements of the two bodies are just similar enough to share clothes.
