*sigh* the doc wants to kill me. 400mg of methotrexate a DAY! When I told the nurse that oral steroids, even LOW dose, make me suicidal, the bitch LAUGHED. I am going to either stop trying to find a doc locally or I will end up driving 2 hours for an appointment or taking a Greyhound. Meds like prozac and other antidepressants also make me suicidal. My old doc tried that to treat pain. He stopped that immediately and decided that narcotics were safer, along with a seriously high dose of Ibuprofin (3200mg a day). /extremely frustrated

I finally get regular physical therapy appointments and they only work on my lower back which means the upper back and all the whiplash tense up and give me headaches. I can handle the lower back pain because I've had it so long. Now I've had to cancel the PT and have to wait until the middle of October to see my doctor and tell her I need it for my whole back.

The only good news is we have a car now.

Congrats on the car! Good luck with your physical therapy. I hope that you can get the treatment changed for your whole back.

Thanks :) Now I have to deal with actually being home to do stuff. I hope I can the right treatment too but now I can get to the doctors. It feels like one corner has been turned.

Having a car is always a plus! Hubby and I are sharing our car with the oldest boy so he can get to his college classes. We're still saving for a 2nd vehicle.

BuggerBuggerBugger ...Childhood illness, resulting in molars with no damned enamel rears it's ugly head again... A tooth which Smother insisted be filled with the frankly rubbish composite instead of the more stable Amalgam, because it's more aesthetically pleasing has once again lost it's cap... Said tooth had previously gotten to the point where the dentist said it would need a root canal if it happened again  And to top it all off, our local dentist changed hands and my parents have yet to sign themselves up for it, so when I go down there the waiting list is going to be lloooooonnnng since I can't even attempt to use their account to get an appointment, and it'll probably cost a fortune... Argh this is probably going to hurt once it gets seen to! Both literally and metaphorically

You are very young for it, but you might want to do a cost-comparison on a root canal plus crown versus an extraction plus bridgework. The bridge might edge out being a little cheaper and as a side benefit, putting in a bridge essentially gives you 2 "free" crowns, one on either side, so you won't have to worry about those molars again.
