The annoying part there is there shouldn't be any bugs on that front, they've done an mmo prior (FFXI is still running), and this is already their second attempt for FFXIV.

@VV Thanks for the help but those aren't it :/ I'm looking in to Ariel the Book of Fantasy to see if one of them could be it. And I could have seen something slightly different. I really want to say the art style was very comic book like with black lines and bright colors.

Human eyes on butterfly or moth wings seems like a common motif for art an tattoos, the only thing I have on my side is knowing I saw it in 86-87 so it has to be from before that. I've been looking for stories with samphire and a mongoose, not in the same one, but no real luck there either.

Note to self never get into a debate about nuclear energy ever again. Ugh - I've just been called insane for seeing it as a viable energy source. And of course the Fukishima incident is oh so typical of how we'll be running these plants, and yes I would like to eat some Japanese fish thank you. For gods sake, that incident couldn't have happened at a worse time, in about a decade the UK will likely be forced to import it's (nuclear) energy from France, at about the same time as the energy export demand will peak - so we'll be paying through the nose for not enough energy to go around... And of course the government is dragging it's feet about signing off on replacement energy sources despite having signed off on the decomissioning of our old coal/gas stations which will probably be happening right on schedule due to politics.

And I'm the insane one for suggesting that the Fukishima incident is Not The Norm.

We deal with that topic of conversation all the time. My husband is an engineer and can tell you more about power than you'd ever want to know. You're not crazy, it's just not popular among certain circles. Don't confuse them with the facts, their minds are already made up. /eyeroll. Some folks only embrace scientific fact and research when it suits their interests. It's totally viable and has been for decades.

Sigh yeah - trying to argue science to widely-read non-scientists is difficult. Good job I didn't mention that I've actually visited a nuclear power station, that would probably have cemented my crazy status. It was about a week after Fukishima happened actually... The sense of resigned doom about jobs was obvious, but the visit was fascinating - we were stood in the pool room where the spent fuel rods were stored, and it was perfectly safe not 1 meter above the level of the water (if you were to fall in however that was another matter!)

But hey, maybe if you DID fall in you'd somehow attain awesome superpowers, don a pair of tights, and roam the night fighting crime. That would be pretty sweet. /swan dive

I'm double-posting!!! Sorry I missed your response earlier. :-p

Yes, I do agree with you. Generally I can't get in. The world is always full and there's no queue so that's a bit disappointing. I read in one post online that they hadn't anticipated the NA/EU market to be as big as it was but I find that hard to believe. Well, we'll just have to see how things work. When I CAN get in, it's a lot of fun! hehe

@Vetinari You pick your poison you pick your fan dumb. Then again I'm only moderately read and holding on to a generally neutral status.

I've seen that book cover in my searches and I wondered what it was for. Eventually I figure I'll find the picture I was looking for. There was a promising one but it's from 2008, 20 years too late for what I need :/
