welp, clincals are over and I am certified to work as a nursing assistant until I take the state test. I learned I have a surprisingly deep amount of patience, and what I did wasn't bad while I was doing it, but I'd rather never work in a nursing home ever again.

for now, probably at the main hospital my parents work at until I can get into RN school. there's lots of spots open in acute care and the emergency unit. I'm taking a short phlebotomy course next week, so I can learn to draw blood too.

Just sharing cause I thought it was funny. It's my grandpa's 82nd birthday today so I went over to say happy birthday to him while I was out doing stuff. He went out to get me the corn he'd brought in for my parents and I was talking with my grandma. After telling me he was just an old farmer and that he really did appreciate me coming over even if he didn't show it. She told me she had got up at 4am to bake him a birthday cake so they could bring it to town and eat it and he told her to leave it at the house and he'd eat it next week. XD She just shook her head. "So why did I wake up at 4am to bake this cake on your birthday if you're not even going to eat it?" He of course just ignores it. Yup. I love my grandparents.
