Obitsu S Bust + Dollfie Dream Body - Possible?

Hello! This may seem like a silly question, and pardon me in advance if there's a thread afoot that has already answered it for me, but I wanted to pose this to you ladies because it has been bugging me for some time and the answer has remained elusive.

I'm a big fan of the Obitsu small-sized bust. However, I'm also a big fan of the legginess of a Volks Dollfie Dream body. I've always wanted to have a Dollfie Dream girl for myself, but even Volks' idea of a small bust for DDs seems to be just a bit too big for my tastes. I'd like the cuteness of a flat chest for my girl! This, however, leaves me with a bit of confusion...

Do any of you know if an Obitsu small-size bust will actually assemble properly with the parts of a Volks Dollfie Dream body? Will the arms and the bottom half of the torso fit together securely? I'm really hoping so, but I thought that I should ask some people that would know before I went ahead and started assembling parts that I may or may not be able to use!

First, I assume when you are referring to the Obitsu small bust, you mean the one that comes stock on the 47cm body:

47BD-P01small bust

And not the medium bust from the 60cm body:

60RP-F03NS-21

I have tried the Obitsu medium bust on the DD2 some years back and it does fit. It's been a while since I've had a 47BD-P01small bust in my possession but since the 47BD-P01small bust and the Obitsu medium and large busts are interchangeable, the 47BD-P01 small bust should fit your Dollfie Dream body. I don't remember off of the top of my head what the size difference is between the Obitsu bust bottom opening and the DD2 abdomen top are, but it shouldn't be too uncomfortable looking.

Some things to note:
The 47BD-P01small bust comes in Obitsu White Skin, which is a pretty good match for Volks Normal Skin. Volks White Skin is much, much paler.
You may have to remove the DD2 "rib cage" part (the hard plastic shell under the DD2s soft bust part).
The Obitsu bust parts are a little wider at the shoulders than their DD2 counterpart. This means the shoulder pegs on the arms won't push into the torso skeleton as far as normal, but it is a small amount and shouldn't effect things too much.

Well, the Obitsu small-sized bust part that I was referring to was actually this one here, primarily because I'm really digging the way that the clavicle is sculpted:


But your explanation of how the parts will work together is absolutely awesome, and you answered all of my questions and a few I hadn't even voiced yet! Thank you SO MUCH for your help, and especially for the notation about the skin colour matching-! I'll probably end-up spending the evening looking at some skin tone comparison pictures, but I'm really grateful that you pointed this out for me. It'll make assembling the parts MUCH easier. :3

Oh my - unfortunately though, that bust you like is for the 50cm obitsu - and those parts are not really interchangeable with 60cm sized bodies. Mind you K2 will be the final say on it, but I think the opening will be too narrow for the torso to fit in and the shoulders would be SERIOUSLY too narrow.

You should just get one of the 50cm obitsu - honestly, the poseability is second to none! (oh, yea, I'm biased, I have like, four of them hahahaha)

I could see doing that, but the thing that I'm in LOVE with is the shapely lady legs on Dollfie Dreams. XD If the legs can be frankenstein'd onto an Obitsu 50cm body and not look hilarious, I think I could be sold-!

UPDATE!

Now with photographic evidence.

These are Obitsu 60cm parts!
I don't have a Obitsu small bust so I'm substituting a medium bust. Aside from the busts, the other specifications (overall length, width at shoulders, diameters of neck and bottom opening, etc.) are the same.
Here is the Obitsu bust on the DD2 abdomen. There is a bit of a gap between the diameters of the two parts, which may not matter depending on how you clothe her.




Here is the Obitsu bust on the DD2 abdomen with the "rib cage" part in place. The rib cage part bridges the gap between the two parts nicely.




The bust and abdomen are the "matching" vinyl colors (Obitsu White Skin and Volks Normal Skin) but the rib cage part is Volks White Skin.

As mentioned by Greyhaunt, the parts you show are from the Obitsu 50cm body and are not scaled to the Obitsu 60cm body or the Dollfie Dream body and will not fit.

Oh, wow!! That's INCREDIBLY helpful, thank you-! I never would have thought of using the DD chest piece to bridge the gap between the two parts, and though I thought that I was following your written description- to see it visualized is absolutely what I needed! That's a brilliant idea!!

It's a disappointment that the 50cm parts absolutely won't work at all, but the option of attaching the small sized bust that you showed in the first image is still available to me, and that's absolutely doable-! ♥ Thanks SO MUCH for all of this!!
