Okay, now I am totally cat spamming you all...
This is Loki, the new kitty love of my life, an adorable, very affectionate Flame Point Siamese. He loves and adores his human mom and he lets me know it all the time. He's a shoulder jumper. He loves to snuggle, head butt, and kiss. This was the first quick pic I took of him last month when I got him. He's 3 months old in this pic. He's been under the weather (He had a good case of cat cold for a while.) so I haven't bugged him again with the camera but he's 4 months now and I mean to take some more pics this week to track his growth as he's a bit bigger and has more markings now. As with all Siamese cats he was born cream colored and his points are darkening slowly with age. They're also affected by heat and it's still quite warm here so likely he won't darken to his full coloration until Winter gets on. So far his paws and tail have darkened just a little and you can see more of a tabby "M" thing on his forehead than in this pic. He's also quite a bit bigger. He's been growing like a weed this past month. I can hardly keep the little mutt fed. He's been eating me out of house and home and annoying my girl cat with his crazy kitten behavior to no end! LOL
She's been rather difficult about the whole new kitten thing but I think she's warmed up a lot despite her hissing. She presented him with one of her toy mice yesterday and allowed him to play with it while she watched. She has a rather strict attitude towards him, won't let him get too close so far, but she's being pretty tolerant for her. She's a big diva and territorial in the extreme so this is a big adjustment for her. I actually did not plan on getting another cat after my last boy died in Feb. In all the time since I wasn't even tempted but Loki was just special and when he and I met it was love at first sight. He had several people interested. I almost lost him to a family that wanted him that day and there was a couple that came back only to find I had gotten him too. He's a very popular little boy. Everyone that meets him loves him. Even my vet has fallen hard. She totally fusses over him, tells him he's a pretty boy, and talks about stealing him when I am not looking. Fat chance, this is MY boy, and as much as I like her I'd tear her from limb to limb if she tried, grin.
Isn't he a cutie?
More pics later this week most likely....
PS: Don't trust him around the dollies. He's a little kitty tornado and he likes to chew. Most of them are going into boxes until he's older. Only leaving out a few of the bigger dolls and even then he's not going to be allowed that shelf. It's pretty well protected but I'm probably going to put a sheet of clear plastic up there just in case. I can always take it off when I want to play with them but that way he can't jump up in there and chew on them while I am asleep or otherwise occupied. Right now he's in one room but I am working on kitten proofing the rest of the house so he can roam. But the dolls they will have to be put away most of them until he's past the wild child bit...
