Vetinari, I love SGU!!! It used to be on a channel that needed to be paid for though. I remember paying for that channel and then one week later the show wasn't broadcast anymore :(

Ugh - that sucks! I still remember when SGU got cancelled :(, it wasn't a massive shock but it was so last minute! The cast and crew found out on Twitter! Sigh... There were so many plot points left dangling by the end of series 2. Rush is still my fave. character after this rewatch (I really should have bought the DVDs sooner) but I hate the way they keep writing his character into a "villanous" corner where his good deeds go completely ignored by the rest of the crew. And we'll never find out if he ascends, or finds something far greater with the Background Radiation... (Well-ish CleanWhiteRoom's multiple tragic bittersweet endings have kept me semi-happy)

Actually I do wonder if the international viewing figures had been better, would it have gotten another series? In the UK Sky bought the rights (hate Sky, another pay for TV company that seems to have a near monopoly on the industry over here - so it meant I had to wait for TV reruns about a year later)

SGU: Twin Destinies - adore the time-travel episodes! Always wondered if alternate Rush survived the whole falling into the sun thing, I kinda thought he might pop-up as an ascended being. Can't wait to get onto the Descendents plotline

I wonder if I ever even saw season 2. I should just buy the DVDs.

You should! I've loved being able to watch them all again - even knowing that it'll probably never be resolved, that and the commentaries - the entire cast seem besotted with Robert Carlyle!

I do wonder if just being part of Stargate doomed it. I still remember the Stargate fans who were baying for the show's blood - convinced that if it got cancelled they'd get more of the rather drab Atlantis show, well they got their wish and predictably it spelled the (hopefully temporary) death of the entire franchise! I wonder if the Stargate name put off the potential new audience, since they must have thought they'd need knowledge of this 15 series colussus to jump on

Edit: SGU Seizure - completely forgot the details of how Rush interacted with Destiny here... Hmm yeah CleanWhiteRoom's idea of Destiny actively seeking him out really do seem a likely option... What with Destiny actively talking to him, and him effectively uploading his entire conciousness into the ship ...Yeah Rush ascending/merging with Destiny do seem like a plot that could happen... Darn I love Force Over Distance, but it's soo depressing! I'd like a slightly happier conclusion, even though with the tone of the show that'd be unlikely

Some stuff, like Smallville, I've ended up journaling. I take notes of what goes on then add my two cents. It's made me see the little clues they were leaving about later events and once you know about Veritas the rewatching gets even better.

me and a bunch of other people kinda did that with Hannibal the tv series. there was so much symbolism, references, themes and grey areas, we basically made a university courser analyzing it. it was great!

Aaargh! I've done the most silly error ever -_-
I've started to paint my Grey Hujoo Freya and I used some acetone on her, thinking it will do no damage because I always use it on Obitsu... and thought wrong -_- It made a terrible smell and even If I washed it away immediately it leaved some little stain. I hope to cover them with the face-up (I alreay planned to make her a tabby) but I feel really ashamed...

Oh ouch! I hope you'll be able to cover it up! By the way, acetone on Obitsu isn't a great idea either. Vinyl + acetone = chemical reaction. I once did a project shrinking vinyl heads in acetone. So yeah I soaked the heads in it which is kinda different, but still.

Oh and before you try nail polish remover without acetone on Hujoo ABS: it's not safe either. I once melted away the plastic using that stuff.

Yeah, I've always been under the impression that acetone is NOT EVER safe to use on dolls, especially vinyl and ABS. That stuff eats right through plastic! You ought to use NON-acetone remover. I figured that out years ago, when I was painting my nails and put some acetone polish remover into a thin plastic bowl to reach it easier (the bottle was almost empty). Next thing I knew, I had polish remover all over the table and a gaping hole in the bottom of the dish where the chemicals had melted right through it. Needless to say, I never did that again. Never used acetone on my nails again, either. I figure, if it eats plastic that quickly, what the heck is it doing to my nails? :?
