Last day of school!!!! My art room is almost clean. I just have a meeting with the principal to sign next year's contract (and find out for SURE what I'm teaching), but that's after the potluck lunch.

My FIL is home and doing better (we hope). He's on blood thinners and other medication to help strengthen his heart. The doctors still don't know why his heart is in such bad condition. Since it hasn't been mentioned, I'm guessing it wasn't the pneumonia... They didn't find congenital heart failure, no arterial blockages, no obvious issues at all. My husband talked to him last night and said he could hear the slur in his voice, but that people who didn't know him might not.

The doctors told him to go home and rest and relax. So he did one thing that he claims relaxes him the most - he went out to a friend's house to play poker ....

My blood tests were finally cleared by the university and I was able to sign up for classes this morning.

DH has seen the heart specialist and will not need a pacemaker. He has some new meds and has to go on a diet and exercise. The doc has recommended a vegan diet for him, but I'm not sure I can get him to go vegan all the way, all at once. Plus we cannot afford to just simply toss out every bit of fatty food in the house. However, we are happy there won't be any surgery and I'm going to be looking at vegan recipes today.
