I think we are pretty much stuck with it as it is. Limited number of lawyers in this rural AK town and they don't do anything for free (because they don't have to...captive audience). The problem is that my son's car is 4 wheel drive. The other driver hit one of his wheels along with the rim & back quarter panel. They will pay for one tire, but on 4 wheel drives, you must replace all 4 tires. And they were expensive winter tires to boot. If he was injured, I'd be at a lawyer's in a heartbeat, but he's fine, so I think we just have to accept what they will pay for and he will have to deal with the winter tires in a few months. His new job pays well, so I'm hoping it means he will get a little more independent soon and we won't have to contribute.

Meantime, I'm trying to get some eyelets set in a doll outfit and it's not working and I've looked at every tutorial I can find to figure out what is going wrong and every time I try something else, it just smashes the little buggers and I'm ready to pull my freakin' hair out!!!!!!! I've put it on a padded surface and on a metal surface and on wooden surface. I've used an eyelet setter, a drill bit and a Phillips head screwdriver. I've tried softer...it fails to bend and falls out. I've tried harder...smush. I'm going to go walk the dog and cool off now. (Yeah, Alaska. Only 8:30 and it's not getting dark out til after midnight anyway.)

Minor suck for me at the moment... I keep getting calls saying I subscribed to things like magazines and such. >.> Someone called me while I was sleeping and I agreed to it while half asleep so they charged me $50 for their stuff lol. My boyfriends tire blew out and they did a 360 across the interstate (he is ok, no wrecks). So I really kinda needed that money for his tire. Six calls, two texts to me and three days later, I'm considering changing my phone number. I am getting very frustrated. And my friend that keeps wanting money called me in the middle of the night wanting $300 to get her husband out of jail. =__= She was upset I didn't answer. It is hard enough for me to sleep as it is >=O

We're having a huge rainstorm and the roof apparently has a leak RIGHT OVER MY BED. My bed is soaked.

So... I have a bladder infection. Woke up with it in the middle of the night. So I had a trip to the urgent care center then got some antibiotics. I should be fine... At this point, it's just funny...

We are dealing with a leaky roof right now. The leak has screwed up the wiring so I can't turn on our ceiling fan. I hope the leak can be fixed soon!

Just ordered a cane, and not the ornamental kind. I really screwed up my lower back and left hip. The swelling will not go down and I can barely walk without falling over. I list starboard when I walk. Needless to say, I hug walls to get around the office. One of the cops walked me up a flight of stairs the other day. He was pretty cool about it. I can't get an appointment with my doctor until after Aug. 15th, either. The hip X-rays were okay, but the doc won't order any of my back. Until then, I will use a cane for balance. Work still won't approve proper footwear. I either wear ballet flats or heels, no exceptions. Mary Janes are not allowed but I can wear jeans. The personnel office...I have no kind words so feel free to let your imaginations roam.

That's beyond silly of them. Are they aware that they can get sued if their stupid regulations make your back/hip worse?

My boyfriend just found out his dad has a brain tumor and he's going into surgery for it tomorrow. I really have no idea how to help him out with it... all I can really do is hold him and let him vent, or cry, or whatever he needs to do when I go over tomorrow. I really suck at stuff like this.

Oh gosh, that's rough news to handle. I can imagine it's hard to help him.. all you can do is be there for him. I'll be thinking of you tomorrow.
