The vote for the contract wasn't announced until 10 minutes before the polls closed. Only a handful of people were given a copy of the proposed contract...and everyone is getting knocked down three pay grades and topped out for pay for the next 6 years. After having worked without a contract for the last four years, I would rather not have a contract at all. Sheesh. I don't mind not getting raises but taking a major hit in pay sucks. I need a new job.

Welp, just spent two hours doing a face up that you could barely notice, then to make things worse Usagi's head fell off where I had set it to dry. Luckily the damage isn't that bad, but in order to be able to assess what happened I had to REMOVE that face up and now I have to finish cleaning his head which I've already spent almost an hour doing. *Flops* I give up.

Apparently MSC doesn't like White. Every time I sprayed it the white basically disappeared.

What brand of pastel were you using? I've found you usually have to bite the bullet and get something high quality for lighter colors.

my boyfriend kinda messed up too lol. We agreed that if he helped me last month for my trip, I would help him this month for his (car insurance and rent). Well, THEN his mom came to town and had him get on his own plan for his phone. extra $200 this month =__= THEN he remembered he has to start paying off his loans this month.

...The Distinctions I earned in exams this year might all be for nought - after months of cajoling and arguing with my supervisor he finally deigns to let me talk to someone who works with the polymer he's told me to use; 1.5 months before the damned dissertation is due in. At this point, the polymer guy, not unkindly, tells me that although he could provide me with the polymer - I will absolutely not have the time to be able to do anything at all useful with it. (It's complicated - but in summary this polymer is a sticky melty mess until it's processed, and the processing has a nasty tendency to ruin whatever structure you've formed - which rather defeats the point.)

I try to tell my supervisor about the issues, at which point he finally admits that he has no knowledge whatesoever of polymer science, and tries to make out that I don't either... He also refuses to acknowledge that the polymer choice is problematic, what with the correct method for processign costing upwards of £30,000! He just couldn't understand why it's unusable! Annoyingly the literature only had vague clues about these issues, scientists, like everyone else love to point out the good rather than the bad. But I had pieced together some of the picture, and I had brought up that the polymer might be an issue way-back in February -but that resulted in an argument, where, ironically with hindsight, he told me that I couldn't possbily judge that without hands-on experience.

So after an hour of this, he "agrees to disagree" (Despise that necessary evil), and tells me to use another polymer. Which I knew I'd have to do, but the blase fashion in which he expects me to completely rewrite months of work in the space of days is galling.

So yeah... This degree is effectively f****d! A month, I'm going to have a month to do labwork that I should have been allowed to do since October, but nope, he didn't arrange for Lab Access (an important legality) until February, and then dumped me with practice busy work and helping an undergrad until mid May which is when exams happened.

He agreed that he'd have the correct polymer waiting for me after exams, nope he didn't, he forgot - and then tried to blame me (As usual), so the last 2 weeks were wasted... I want to destroy something now! This is ridiculous, and I now despise the man, I will not be asking him for an academic reference at the end of the year.
