My cousin got married yesterday. It was a lovely occasion, and it was awesome because my family isn't all that large so it was nice to see everyone.

Hmm I think the 5.5" description might be a typo; I've got an 11 from CO that's identical to this guy, minus the beard and he's closer to 11" - He's fun but in a kitsch kinda way! (Annoyingly I can't seem to find an image of the figure anywhere...)

Random thought: Cheapo face-up practice head was supposed to also be a mod practice head, I was thinking sleepy eyes to open eyes... But I kinda like him with the shut eyes looking all smug, and I think the previous owners mods can stay really since it'd be really difficult to remove all of that epoxy from inside of his head... Oh dear...

There's an independently owned coffee shop close to where my daughter's co-op is and I try to go there once a week when school is it. Coffee is fabulous, service is second to none, food is prepared in-house (!) and prices are comparable to the big brand shops. Plus their seating area is literally three times the size of our local Starbucks so you don't feel other customers breathing down your neck or overhearing your conversation.

Have to unravel a better part of the knitting I've been working on for awhile because it doesn't fit ~eye twitch~

So I'm going to stare at this and listen to ELO. If this isn't why googly eyes were created I'm a gardener who hates grass ;)

You know that feeling you get when you take off a doll's outfit to change her clothes (for a temporary body swap), put said outfit in a perfectly safe and memorable place that you can immediately find them in later, then weeks pass by and with utter horror you realize you haven't seen said outfit in weeks and have absolutely no idea where you put them? And you still can't find them after tearing apart half of the room? *cry* I could only find her socks, and that's only because I had them with my sewing stuff because I needed to make a new pair.

Why is it the one time I need temporary tattoos I can't freaking find it. Roy needs his little skull cheek marking, I already have the stuff for his piercings.

Reading American Gods - by Neil Gaiman; it's only coincidence that I didn't read this in my teens, and I'm glad I didn't. Since I suspect I would have only superficially understood half of it! (A bit like a couple of Ursula Le Guin books that I was mistakenly given as a kid by well-meaning relatives who assumed that because she'd written the Earthsea novels that everything she did was "child friendly" heh I love that in books there really isn't an age rating per say!)
