Well, the tornado today probably would have blown it away considering =/ (put the hole under the house? lol) N i think its stupid she said that. how would there not be room? i fit all of mine into one of the company boxes i received them in and got them ready to take. they are probably the most expensive non living things i have.
Well, on a sad note, My little brother and his parents possibly no longer have a house (being on the other side of I-35 from the warren, but also on other side of that first neighborhood). LUCKIlY his dad pulled my bro out of school and left town before it got too bad but we cant get ahold of them to find anything else out. It is kinda tearing me to pieces not knowing if they are ok or even have a home.

And working for walmart was kinda depressing today.before,We had to shut everything down and move everyone to the back for cover in case the tornado made it to us. during that time, customers were upset because we werent risking our lives to ring up their stuff. after it, Many people that lost their homes were there and it was kind of a sad atmosphere. almost half of the deaths were children.
and now im just rambling @.@ its been a long day.

There have been tornadoes going through the state all day. My mom even had us pack up a bag in case we had to evacuate in a hurry. I was really torn up about this because she said there wouldn't be room for my dolls. When we were watching the news I kept replaying this terrible scene in my head in which our house is completely demolished and my dolls are destroyed beyond recognition. Losing the house would have been bad enough, I don't think I could have handled losing something I put so much of my heart into, ya know what I mean guys?

I keep my dolls and cameras in a bag just in case on nights like this. Not to mention we have a suitcase of our things (clothes) because IL is weird for weather. But if everything was lost, damn straight I would cry and mourn the loss but it IS just stuff. Losing my family would kill me. The dolls and whatever can be replaced.

as they are technically just "stuff" I feel that just because it can be rebought doesnt mean it can really be "replaced". For me, there is a more emotional connection and it just wouldnt be the same if it wasnt actually the same doll. I would always know that it was a different doll and that the experiences I had was with a different doll. there wouldnt be much of a developing story to remember for it.

Tornadoes are peculiar things. One of the reasons why you put a shelter underground is because they tend to strip things out at ground level. It is actually possible to ride out a tornado in a ditch, which is why one of the things you are told to do if you are in a car is to leave the car and take shelter in a drainage ditch. (By the way do NOT go under an overpass. Overpasses often make the "suck-zone" worse.) This is why I said to bury the dolls in a safe container underground. Chances are the tornado would pass right over them leaving them unharmed.

I have several years as the county radar-reader and storm chaser coordinator, before all the tv stations got their fancy radar rigs and began having their own storm teams.

It's not that there isn't room, it's that there might not be time. Unless you pack your dolls and have them ready to go every time there is a prediction of bad weather, you may not have time to pack and get to shelter once the sirens go off.

I had my dolls all packed in a box it's just that we'd have four humans, each with an overnight bag, a blanket, and a pillow along with five dogs in our car.

I know. I'm ssoooooooo relieved x3 i didn't think there was any way it would still be standing but it was one of a few left in the neighborhood and had the least damage of them
