what I've been doing since the beginning of the year is a production schedule. its not on a particular timeline, but I put down that I will draw this many pages, then I will ink this many pages, I will practice coloring, I will research this, then I will write this much. in the mean while, if I do have ideas for storylines and stuff I will write it down in a specific note book. this way, I never waste time wondering what to do or not having ideas. I have been IMMENSELY more productive since I have started this. I have inked about 40 pages of frontier medicine, drawn at least that many, penciled a graphic novel and have only about half left to ink it, and lots of storyline for frontier medicine written down. waiting for inspiration is great... but if you want to get stuff done, you gotta just do it. and the more you do it, the easier it will be to do it.

Keeping an art journal has helped me keep track of ideas and stuff. There's no rules, just write, and draw, and paste stuff down... It's been great for working ideas out.

Where I did discipline my writing was to make beat sheets, or plot points, when ever possible incase I had to farm the work out or pass it on. It also helps if I feel the need to write but don't have an immediate idea, I can go back to those or the art journal and find something I can work on.

I write things in my head while I'm at work and write it all down during breaks. My job, while physically demanding is perfect for letting your mind wander.

Posted some pics from me and Lou's trip up to the Pacific Northwest BJD Expo in the photostories section! Was lots of fun, and in a really nice area too! We actually made a whole weekend of it and stayed in the Hampton (the doors were literally 25 feet from the convention center) then wandered around Bremerton and Puget Sound the next day. The fountain park was beautiful and the museums were really cool. I was surprised there was no one else from the expo wandering around too because they were great for pictures.

ug, I think when I get back from our trip I'm going to have to give all my dolls a scrub and a round in oxyclean. I have a doll that's a blue fairy blossom body with a luts elf ani head and they used to match colors really well! and the body has turned more rosy/deeper then the head and you can tell the difference now. oh I remember when the blue fairy body was about the only mature 40 cm body you could get and I had to wire the money over instead of paypal for that one XD

What really sucks is when the Muse takes you at 3 a.m. and work starts at 8 a.m.! That happened to me the other day. Needless to say, I made the husband stop at Casey's so I could grab a monster coffee and 64 oz. soda.

HAHAHA.... Yes, my brain kicks into gear between 6 and 10pm. I stay up all night. Then I get up and write some more. Sometimes in between all that I eat, take a shower, and make photostories.
