New member needs help already.

Postby DawnSilver » Fri Apr 26, 2013 2:11 pm

My very first 1:6 scale Obitsu arrived today. Her head is a Gretel , and I bought the normal body for her. The problem is she has "bobble head". I followed the directions, but her head is just loose. It doesn't seem to matter which adaptor I use.

Can some one give me some advice? Thanks.

I've had that happen a couple times. Depending on how bad it is I'll either tie a rubber band around the neck or fold tape around the top.
How loose is the head?

It's pretty loose. The head sits nicely on the adaptor, but the little post the adaptor sits on is loose. I took her chest apart to look at her neck, but I couldn't find anything to tighten. I do think a little tape in her neck area may help. Thanks. I'll try that.

Try posting a photo. That could help. I'm assuming that she came with multiple neck pieces, so have you tried the other sizes?

Hi. I tried the other neck pieces, but that doesn't seem to be the problem. The head fits nicely on the neck piece. It is the stem that holds the neck piece that is loose inside the neck. I will take some photos when I get home. I am at Tim Horton' s now.....waiting for my Mom to get out of dialysis. I really want to get this resolved, because I have another body and heads coming on Monday. I'll be back soon with photos. Thanks.

I'd try wrapping a rubber band around the post for now to see if it helps, you might need to try a couple different sizes until the thickness holds the head properly.

Mine had that problem as well. If you take the adapters off and put a little bit of hot glue into the neck part of the body should help. That's what we did with our girl. Just be careful not to put too much glue in it. Just a few drops smeared around the inside with a toothpick is enough, to stop the post from going all the way the way to the sides.
The 27cm slim boys were an easier fix, just stick one of the knee/leg extenders in the neck socket to prevent the post from wiggling all over the place.
Hope this helps! :D

ShadowKat, that is exactly where the problem is ....inside the neck, where that post is so loose. I'm going to try the hot glue. I think that will do it. Thanks also for the tip on the slim boys.....I have one of them arriving soon. :D

I appreciate everyone's help.

I just temporarily bookmarked this thread, as my obitsu won't be ordered and arrive until next month, and if they have the same problem it'll save me lots of flailing around and wondering where I read about how to fix it. XD So, thanks from me for the help too... even though I don't know yet if I'll need it.

Thank you from another newbie here :) I just thought I wasn't getting the head on properly (it's currently now wedged onto the neck post as a temporary fix  ) I shall be sorting that this afternoon :)
