pushmowers are not hard to use. not like the riding mower which has to be turned on in a certain sequence or it won't start.

My parents kept wanting to tell me I wouldn't be able to push it cause it's not gas powered, but we just tried it yesterday and It was pretty easy. Obviously I'll have to mow more than once a week but whatever. lol

They aren't that great if you have a lot of weeds... as I discovered, but as long as it's just grass you're fine. The Amish have used them for a long time after all. ^__^

I do like this logic. And I plan on getting an accordion folder for bank statements and bills so I have all my (and my roommate's) ducks in a row.

Ugh - this is why I can't have nice things - permanently sweaty palms of doom! Within an hour of owning a highly polished, sealed piece of ebony (planned for use as a pointer stick/wand) I've managed to remove the polish and slightly saturate the outer (hopefully...) layer of wood such that the handle looks noticeably different to the rest of the piece. Argh!

Anyhow I've read that Lemon Oil is a suitable polish? Or should I attempt a permanent seal? (This is why I love plastic btw - I'm the kind of person that tarnishes silver in a few hours, and have even managed to make the clear protective oxide layer on Aluminium slightly cloudy/thicker... Hell even gold looks a bit mucky after a day or so, and that's 22bloody carat...)

I've done that with the blueing on one of my rifles. I can eat the finish off a gun with my acid skin. It's sort of weird.

I'm semi-convinced it's just the excess of salt water that's doing it - NaCl in soln. being pretty damned corrosive!

Listening to a documentary on the radio about the early 70s, specifically David Bowie. Loving all of the praises being heaped upon him but every 5 minutes I find myself exclaiming "Bowie!" in anger as some one who claims to be a fan pronounces the Bow in his name, not in the "Bow-tie" sense but the "Bow-wow-wow" sense... I think my slight aspie tendencies are rather spoiling it for me!
