I think this is karma for not wearing work gloves, but tonight during the show I'm doing crew for my right pinky got slammed hard in to a 2x4 by a desk being shoved. On the plus side, it's not broken! So I can still work crew for tomorrow's matinee! On the negative, it is deep purple on the knuckle and swollen on one side just below the lower knuckle. It bends though, that's all I was worried about.

Your pinky got shoved into what..? I'm sorry, I'm asking for educational purposes, I'm always looking to improve my English - can you rephrase that sentence?

Knittnkitten, I'm so sorry, that sounds so hard to deal with :-(

Thankfully, I already have an endocrinologist (whom I'm seeing tomorrow), but this is really startling and a little terrifying. It's also going to slow down my plan to get a job, since I'll be busy with tests.
Hopefully I won't have to do insulin shots for long, or at all. I started having a panic attack just thinking about the needles. :(

That sounds like a terrible visit. I'm sorry. I don't blame you for being scared. I know nothing about diabetes except that people live great full lives with it, especially when they take of themselves. Keeping you in my thoughts.

I handed her the grocery list for shopping, she looked at me and told me she had no idea what any of it was for and I should have brought the week's menu I wrote down. we missed half of what we came for because she couldn't handle looking at a grocery list and the coupons on her phone at the same time even with our help. then her aphasia kicked in, and its sometimes really hard to deal with a person who is getting really frustrated that she knows what she wants, but keeps telling us something else and gets angry when you get her what you thought she told you, but not what she exactly wanted. especially when she thinks she told you something else then what she really said.

My father also has ADD, he has a prescription but he only takes it when he is working (he is a truck driver so it's good he takes it at least then). I recently moved out with my BF but there were days where he was just impossible to deal with. One time we had a big family dinner and he couldn't even sit down. He just kept bringing chairs into the kitchen?? There were plenty of seats for everyone, too...I know it can be hard. I love him very much but sometimes it can be a little too much for the moment. Moving has definitely strengthened our relationship though.
Anxiously awaiting Tryniti and Acorn!

Bringing chairs in to the kitchen doesn't sound like ADD to me, you might want a second opinion. Some times repetitive movements are calming to the brain. He might have been over leaded because of too much stimulation and taking a break from everyone would help. Maybe you can find a hobby for him that needs that, I find things like knitting to be calming when my brain is freaking out.

For the shopping would it help to make cards with pictures of groceries on them? Make a carry case for them and take your list and coupons along too.

It got shoved in to a 2x4 - it's a piece of thick wood 2 feet wide by 4 feet tall.

Actually she is! I refuse to be down about it myself. She'll be OK, just needs lots of TLC.
