I'm surprised my husband didn't throw a larger fit, other than banning me from buying any more dolls this year. My car is a mess and our van isn't much better. My poor car needs brakes (there aren't any - GOD is stopping my car right now. I'm NOT kidding.), a horn, a new ignition (I'm using a pair of needle nose pliers) and the stupid felt on the roof of it is falling down. *shrugs* I really shouldn't complain because for a '91 Olds, she runs awesome.
Then there's the two couches that we need to finish. That's going to require another 15 yards of velvet for the cushions, who only knows how many more yards of muslin...and I hope that my sewing machine doesn't die on me in the meantime. Upholstery velvet and upholster vinyl isn't the best material for my little Elnita machine. I hope I don't have to take it in to the shop any time soon (at least before the couch is done, anyway).
I'll keep socking away a little bit of cash every paycheck for dolls, though. My son wants the big 60cm Obitsu boy now. He changed his mind from 50cm to 60cm. My other son wants the 50cm boy. I still want a Dragondoll for my Lon Chaney, Jr. character doll..and I'd like to have a Vincent Price one AND a Bob Hope one AND a Humphrey Bogart one AND leading ladies for them all. Not to mention that I really really REALLY want the George Burns doll that I saw in our local antique shop/flea market. *sigh*
That's a lot of "I wants", isn't it?
I guess for now I'll have to settle on a fake fur wig from DDE - one of the new ones :
for my Peter Lorre character doll and if I can find them, a pair of high domed dark brown eyes...sort of chocolate in flavor....and trying to find a dollieh sized pattern for a 1930s suit and a pair of suitable shoes for him.
