I'm still around but I'm mostly doing the "Daddy thing" nowadays. (That's not a complaint, BTW.) Sunday afternoon however, I had my family huddled in the smallest closet in our house while this thing passed entirely too close for comfort.

I had been watching John Sibley's live feed on Chaser TV.com while keeping an eye on the TV. By the time this video starts, I was probably already heading for the closet! The tornado crossed the interstate about 4 blocks from my Mom's house and then makes a slight jog north. In the video, at the point where the road is blocked, that's less than a half-mile west of my house and on the western edge of the USM campus. When it exited the eastern side of campus and crossed back into residential neighborhoods, it was roughly 6 blocks north of me at the closest point. Weird thing is, in my immediate neighborhood, there was no sign anything at all had happened, aside from the power being out. Drive north just a short distance and it was like being dropped in a whole other world.

I haven't see the final numbers yet but the last estimate I saw put it at a high EF-3 to low EF-4 and between 1/2 to 3/4 of a mile wide while moving through the metro area.

Maybe I should move to some place safe like Texas, Oklahoma or Kansas!

I'm sorry, that sounds exciting to me XD I'm weird, I was in a tornado in a school bus in middle school and it somehow wired me into an adrenaline junky when tornado seasons rumbles in.

So, I probably did not so good on my chemistry test. I mean I probably got a passing grade but it's probably the worst grade I've ever gotten on any test ever. I haven't gotten my test back yet but I just feel like so much of a failure right now.

Minor suck compared to the kind of things everyone has been going through, but depressing nonetheless... Today I knocked over a porcelain trinket box that I have had since I was a child and the lid broke into pieces too tiny to be glued black together.

Awwww, that sucks, Lamia! I broke a glass ornament I had since I was very young a few years ago and I was crushed for weeks...
