Yeah - I quite like giving physical things/help since I know that's almost certainly going where it should (...though got to admit my last placement was a bit of a flop!)

Vetinari, you need to report him to said charity. I know of no reputable charity out there that would stand for this form of harassment. And if they would stand for it, they are not the kind of people anyone should feel guilted into giving money to. Is he approaching you on campus, because if so, you can report him to administration, also. If off campus, you can report him to the police - particularly if he frequents a certain spot or area. Police don't take kindly to that at all.

Thanks - if he appears again I may have to, but I think they'd been bussed in specially from another city (Which says a lot really...) This uni is one of those odd ones that sprung up at the same time as the town itself did, so there is no campus per say just department buildings dotted around the place. (From past experience with these guys it's fairly normal procedure for the employed charity money getters - I much prefer volunteers - they're nicer)

This is not a charity. This is a gang of thieves bussed in to steal your bank information and wipe you out. NEVER give those details to ANYONE on the street.

Yeah, I'm thinking Misty is right on the mark here. They are thieves. You might want to notify your university police or at least the administration because I'm sure it's not just happening to you.
