Anxious enough to leetspeak! LOL

So, I'm waiting on pins and needles for Emory to confirm whether or not my special order for an AOD Qian can go through soon or not. In the meantime I'm second guessing myself and wondering if an SD is really the way to go. I attended a doll meet up last weekend and really got a look at the SD dolls (strangely enough I didn't even think to ask to handle one) and they look sooooo big and gangly and hard to handle! I still love her sculpt and thing she's a great choice for my character, though. I think I'm experiencing pre-cognitive dissonance! LOL!

SD size really isn't that bad. They do take a bit of getting used to if most of your dolls are MSD, but you get to love them too :) I've got a good mix of both now - and though I like the smaller size for handling, I wouldn't trade my big ones for nuthin :)

My first doll was a big one, and I thought she was huge when she arrived. Then I found the MSDs and really liked them, and sometimes wished I only had MSDs. But I really like the better detail on the larger dolls, and much prefer photographing SD sized dolls. So I end up hauling them around to places much more frequently than the smaller ones. Qian is beautiful- you'll love her.
If you thought they were gangly and hard to handle, you may have been looking at the 70 cm size. They are a lot bigger than the SD 60 cm size (which is what Qian is), but even those are not that bad to handle once you get used to them.

I only own MSDs... but I've done some sewing for the SDs. Making stuff for the bigger dolls is SO much easier. There's so much more space to work with. Not that I want to go larger with my boys, but it would make it easier to sew for them.

I've bounced back and forth. my first doll is mini, then I got a SD. Then I had a combination of both and tinys. Then i tried to just have MSD and tinys, but some of the SD dolls are super pretty!!! ^^;;

So now I'm mostly SD, two MSD (cause I can't get rid of them, I loves em too much) and some tinys.

When i saw how large they were, I wanted one even more, strangely.As a first time SD owner i don't have much to compare to, but he's not awkward at all. Gangly yes. He has the scawniest arms ever. But he poses well.

Well, we are waiting to see if Emory can order the high heel feet for her, too and then he'll be able to put in the order. So it should go through (hopefully) by this weekend. I'm anxious and nervous and happy. But mostly I'm relieved because there was a concern over her skin time (which is vital to her character) and I was afraid I might not be able to get her (at least not through JS).

Now I feel confident enough that I can really start buying stuffs for her!
