Clothes: 1 (one) thrift store raid (material (aka other people's old clothes)) for a future doll-sized sexy burnt orange sweater dress (women;s rayon sweater), a heathered lambswool skirt suit or overcoat (man's wool sportcoat), and lightweight leather for accessories (women's leather jacket). (I love our local thrift store 1/2 price days. AND shopping there supports the local hospice). 1 vintage panty pattern (1939) and 2 vintage slip patterns (1939 and 1947) roughed out. I'll probably work on the simpler slip now but the panties and other slip will have to wait until I have the actual factual doll since they are more fitted.

So much fun! But I'd better get some other things done. The doll is not allowed to take over the house until she is here! I've said it so it must be true!

The big mistake is to think that its only going to be one doll. I started off with a moxie teenz doll! Of course my sister had to have one also. I have 2 now. Then came the hujoo dana doll (1/4 size), a bobobie sprite (1/4), resinsoul dai (1/3), resinsoul gang boy (1/3) and a resinsoul an boy (1/4). My sister was given a sprite and a gang and an An (which my niece has claimed). So you see its not going to be only one doll..... Anyway a big welcome from the land of South Africa!

Oh no, I'm still here. I messed up my original registration (I came out as underage, pretty funny for coming up on the big 5 0 this year ( went through the registration process FAR too quickly: sheer dollieh excitement)) and the mods kindly wiped the old (young?) me and let me start over.
So my first two posts (also under E-Beth) are orphaned.

In other news, today I can get in the garage and work some more on the doll's bed frame.
AND, I've come up with another doll venue for which I simply MUST make stuff: Camping. But not just camping, vintage camping: all canvas and wood and good stuff like that. The notebook overflows.
