Anxiety with dolls?

General discussions about dolls, new releases, doll reviews...you know, stuff that doesn't really fit in all the other categories but is strictly about dolls.

aww, don't worry about them. Just post here where people are supportive and encouraging.

We all have to start somewhere and I haven't been here long, but everyone here seems to understand that and wants to help in people's artistic growth. So you don't have to fear ridicule here unless we get some crazy new jerk joining and they will be promptly reprimanded for misbehavior if they do.

Lol! I'm 29 and I can't sew well AT ALL and still I manage to make outfits that look good in pictures! :P At least, I think so :P. I sometimes cheat with glue and ribbons hehehe. And yeah, socks are awesome.

Off-topic one last time: I got most of my dolls on the DoA MP. My very first was an adopted girl from there ^^

The best way I bond with dolls is to do the faceup/blushing/sewing ect for them. We love all levels of skill of here and the best way to improve is practice. And you can find material to work with just about any where once you train your eyes what to look for. What I've done when I'm unsure of a doll, or was feeling stressed about having too many "unfinished" dolls, is I put away the other dolls for a little bit (usually only a few days-week in my case) and just focus on the doll that I want to work on most. So far, this has worked out that I haven't gotten to the point of selling any, but it gives you a chance to see which ones are best for you without having to make snap decisions.

Plenty of ways to make wigs with yarn and fake or real fur scraps. We don't make fun of anyone's efforts here.

All we do is offer support, occassionally a critique and lots of advice and tips. We all started out somewhere. And I'm sixteen too and I was fourteen when I joined the board and got into the hobby.

Thank you all again for being so kind. :)
When I get back to my moms I'm going to put my finished dolls away and start working with my Dana. I'll buy a camera soon and spam you all :D
