If I'm not mistaken, that should put her into about the right age-bracket for that particular additive.

I know that I've seen at least one extreme case of a tan doll starting to turn funny colors.... but, even on that doll, it was pretty obvious that she'd been stationary in a strong light situation for an extended period of time. Then again, the person who had the doll, also owned another that was nearly banana yellow. ^.~

Oh, suck it up. It's all part of the joys of owning dolls. :twisted:

Oooo, I should post my beautiful Evensong (2006 Luts dark elf soo), dressed all in white with a white wig. You can really see the lovely shade of pale, creamy green she's turned over the years. When she's wearing dark colors, though, it's not nearly as noticeable.

Poor Song. My lovely, ethereal elf princess isn't so ethereal anymore. She done gone goth. :lol:

Hmmm ... and if Luts added something to keep the dolls from yellowing, does Fairyland do the same thing with their resin? 'Cause I have a gorgeous white-skinned Roke who will probably start turning in a few years. Although, him being a dragon and all, a little greening would be good for the complexion. :lol:

Aww, I love yellowing. I take it as a mark of pride that I've had dolls long enough that they're yellowing. My first resin doll turns 5 this summer and I much prefer the cream color she's turned to the pink she came as (and I freakin' love that brand new DoD pink color, heh) And I find it hilarious that my Angel Region boy matches his blond wig in certain lights.

Man, I remember the first green tan doll I saw... A lovely tan Kiss, all mottled green from being outside. Pretty shocking at the time, I think that might have been one of, if not the first, time the community had seen a greened tan doll XD

I remember that Kiss story. Wasn't there also a Luts tanned that turned horribly green because of exposure to too much sun? Man, that scared me into keeping poor Ember pretty much hidden away from sunlight. She's a tanned Dark Elf Soo. Paranoid, maybe, but she's still a lovely shade of brown, so I'm not complaining. lol

I do need to take her apart, though, and peel off the old glue sueding I'd put on. Eh, not looking forward to that, but it isn't helping her hold poses, anyway, so might as well go. I also did my elf Chiwoo, and he still holds poses beautifully, but she just didn't turn out as well. Go figure.

Yes, I think there was a green tan Delf, although I don't remember the sculpt. I do remember the rash of people freaking out that their dolls of all resin color were going/could go green. I tend not to be overly paranoid about my dolls getting exposed to sunlight... but I'll probably still be extra careful with my future tanned doll :lol:

Ooh, good luck with the removing the sueding. Sueding, putting it on or taking it off, is the one part of dolly maintenance I dislike.

I read about sueding... i think low-heat glue gun would be easiest...? ^^;

I always found using pliver much easier than hot glue. I never could get the glue to be thin enough, but I'm rather impatient. I'm probably just the odd man out though, because I prefer wiring to sueding anyway. :lol:

if you have a small doll, alieens tacky glue smeared in the joint cups and allowed to dry works really well if you don't want to use hot glue or can't get ahold of suede.
