The largest commercially available obitsu is 65cm. I know there's two people on this forum that have the body. It just doesn't get posted a lot. The photos below are company shots from obitsu.

Here's a set of 11cm obitsus with painted eyes. I'd show you more small obitsus, but I don't feel like digging up the photos. Someone else can do that.

Honestly. Obistus aren't for everyone. Vinyl is a material that isn't for everyone either. IF you are into photographing your doll *doing* things, and *expect* them to HOLD the pose... then you want vinyl. But, if all you want is something large and pretty, then get your resin doll.

There isn't any visual difference between well cared for resin or vinyl dolls. Out of the twelve large dolls in this photo, half are resin, half are vinyl. Good luck figuring out which is which.

I don't think you are a good fit for vinyl dolls. You keep saying that you want larger and larger... while to improve stability and structure, vinyls are going smaller. Most vinyl dolls also arrive blank, there are some exceptions to this, but for the most part the doll will get to you without a face-up. It would be up to you to either give it a face-up, or commission an artist to paint it for you.

thank you for your answer, and for sharing the pictures and knowledge <3 and i think you're right~! i agree, i wouldn't be a good owner for an obitsu/vinyl doll... from what i've seen, it's just not for me~!

i don't exclusively want big dolls, if you look up, you'll see that i was just warming up to the idea of having a baby hujoo (12cm) as a doll... XD but for the most part, yes, i prefer my dolls in the 62-100cm range~! ^^

i think it's a western ideal that dolls have to be small... i never shared that ideal~!

also, i don't think i'd ever trust someone enough to send them a doll i really love, any more than i would send my dog or my child (I don't have either, but if i did - just for comparison) to someone... if anything, i'd fly to wherever the artist lived and carry my doll there myself, and not leave her side~! i don't have any trust issues with people, i just also wouldn't think of my dolls as just "things" ^^;

First, this forum is on a free account and handled by a single person. It already has occasional access problems. If it got any bigger there would be more access problems, and I expect Greyhaunt would consider shutting it down if she had to spend any more time fixing problems.

Secondly, more activity means more mean people. More fraudsters. More drama queens. More pedophiles (yes, we have had them here). So even if there weren't more problems related to traffic and activity, there would be more personality/interpersonal problems and I expect Greyhaunt would consider shutting it down.

The moral of the story is: be careful what you ask for.

Yeah...I'm sixteen and I got my first doll when I was fourteen...And hey not all dolls are for everyone. Personally I prefer Obitsu's and smaller dolls in the 40cm range. Hell I'm considering re-shelling my character Sanya into a different shell because I want to do action poses and I know that an Obitsu does it great. If I want her to be tan I'll break out the rit dye.

Just a warning we also can get pretty random. (Whole thread converted to spork discussion. Yes I am dead serious.)

i don't mind randomness, as long as it's nothing negative~! ^__^ and being different is great~! you and me seem to like the exact opposite dolls (more or less - you like them smaller, and i like them huuuger~! XD ) but that's just a good thing~! everyone has their own preferences ^-^

Nope, no negativity here.

Actually I love a lot of the larger dolls but they're so much out of my price range that they're more so dreams whilst others I love that are smaller are easier to obtain. I love tinies though they're just so cute. (The RS Yu made my heart melt she looks like a mini Mei..In my eyes at least and Mei's my favorite RS sculpt.) Though when you do get your doll post tons of pics. We love spam here.
