For Mother's Day...

Postby kittyasauras » Fri May 11, 2012 5:18 pm

So for Mother's Day I made my mom a custom barbie... of her self. lol! She loves my customs and she's always asked for me to draw her 'sailor moon style' so I figured this would be good for both? haha

I went to great lengths to get this girl together, she's made up of three different dolls:
Two Cali girls; the head of this one:

The legs/feet of this one:

and the torso of a Fashionista Nikki/Artsy.

Her clothing is a mixture of the western style Cali, and the jeans are from a My Scene Madison. Jewelry are from both Calis. Hat is from some outfit from China on ebay.

The Western cali had some interesting feet... I have never seen a barbie with these types of feet. I was a little surprised when I took her boots off! So I had to change my plan a bit...

And then after I got the Nikki out she had pegs, where as the cali had elastic. Oh boy..

So with the help of another member on here, we decided that the best way to get the pegs off would be to drill through it. It wasn't that hard at all. :>

I also closed her mouth to a very slight smile.

So after a repaint, hair style and finally a hat she is complete. :3 Just in time!

Thanks! >w< I was going to make her horse, Joe; but I ran out of time and couldn't find a good enough base. She's working on a Breyer repaint anyway. haha
