For me, there is not much desire to be shopping for "doll" clothes in the kid's section at Target.

Or Victoria's Secret. *pffftttt*

Does Victoria's Secret have a kid's section?

I don't carry my dolls around but I very much enjoy looking at them. My new Angelsdoll Shakan is 72cm tall and...I was not expecting him to be so huge and heavy. It's shocking! But also satisfying: there's more to look at. Displaying him though? I've got to work on it.

I think arranging displays of larger dolls is half of the fun. I'm not a big fan of Dollmore's Lusion but I have to admit I would love to pose one and display her somewhere.

I have tinies and minies - and honestly my favorite size to handle is the yo-sd size but for appearance the larger dolls please me more. They just seem so impressive to me.

Hmm...I don't think I'd ever get a doll that's over 60somethingcm, simply because I want a lot of them to be doll forms of my pre-made characters and non are over 180cm tall...I'm picky about the scaled size. With 70+cm dolls, their scale in fraction form isn't as clear and I like my characters divided by whole numbers if they're gonna become dolls. So unless I figure out a way to accomodate 1/2 scale dolls into the collection, I don't think it's gonna be my cup of tea.

The more expensive end of my wishtlist: Limhwa Half Elf and Elfdoll Soah, my dream dolls.

Well, the over 80cm size won't work for my doll setup. All of my doll crew represent characters who interact in the same "universe", thus for them, I stick to 1/3 scale, so that they all look harmonious with each other. My tallest (Dollshe) are 70cm, the others are all 65cm, with 2 girls at 60cm. This works nicely to also keep me from just buying anything too spontaneously (so at least I save some money! ;) ).

That said, I certainly admire dolls in other smaller scales, and I also like the Mecha Angels and EID guys, but don't add them because of keeping everyone in the same general scale.

Also, the bigger (and heavier) the doll gets, the more difficult to carry around for photo sessions (or if they're really an unusual size/scale, harder to find clothes and shoes that fit, unless of course, you're able to make these items yourself).

I do have some 1/6 dolls (they aren't part of my other crew's storyline), and enjoy that scale very much. There's a lot of adorable dolls, clothing and props in the 1/6 size range! And they're really fun to play with and photograph. :D
